We used to come to Donnelly’s often. The last 3 times I’ve been very disappointed in the food quality service and pricing.
I had gotten the stacked beef sandwich for at least 20 years. The last two times it was not good. Very little beef, the beef it had was full of gristle. I did not even eat half each time.
This time I decided on salmon BLT. It was horrible. Big lump of cold salmon , the bread was supermarket type budget bread , I think it was supposed to be toasted, but was maybe 1/3 toasted, ended tasting like stale bread , no mayo or sauce.
Fries were decent but lukewarm at best.
My wife got a chicken sandwich which was ok but looked small with a budget bun. Everything al a carte which is ok if the food is good. It ended up being way below average and bad value for the money.
Took over an hour to receive the food. I was starving and it was so bad I didn’t even eat 1/2 of it.
It’s really too bad. Was once a good place. I’m done after 3 bad experiences in a row.

I went to Donnellys yesterday as we are regular customer's and we really enjoy going there at the service is generally good and the food is as well, however the last 2 times we went the food sucked as well as the service. My wife ordered the chicken and mashed potatoes and salad, I ordered tenderloin and fries. My wife's chicken tasted like old grease and no seasoning, mashed potatoes were cold. My tenderloin was burned and also tasted like old grease. My fries were room temperature and a soggy mess. We also ordered buffalo cauliflower which were also soggy and tasted like old grease. The plate was super hot as if they had been microwaved and the ranch looked translucent and warm. I had to remind the server twice about bringing my coleslaw which is always great. We waited an hour for our food. I got my daughter ham and bean soup that was room temperature and tasted horrible and my son got chicken tenders that again tasted of old grease and it was a bunch of little pieces of chicken that looked more like nuggets and soggy limp fries. We will no longer go there, spend 100 for below mediocre food.
Ordered Sheppard Pie before 5pm on a Wednesday they were out. Very dissappointed!!!!

I adored this place when it used to be on Glen Avenue. The donut shop that bought their location is no longer in business. But Donnelly's is better than ever; their food and service cannot be beat. "Bide a wee"

Waitress was slow…took 15-20 mins for drinks… no silverware until had to remind waitress. When food was serviced it looked like it had sat for a bit before it was served my burger was on the dry side plus the cheese wasn’t melted. Then it took almost an half to get check delivered. Hardly ever saw the waitress come to the table.
Of course it was busy being a Friday night but service and food could have been better…it will be a while till I go back.

Fish was very good. Nice and crisp. Rueben was good. Rye bread could have been better. Drinks were very good and served properly. The place was full. Service was good until it was time to check out. Took a bit. Would absolutely be back frequently if local.

Great decor! Excellent service. The food was fairly good, I could go there again, but I don't think it will be anything special for me.

Tenderloin was not the same as in the past. Very thin and hard. I was disappointed as they had GREAT tenderloins in the past.

One of my favorite Irish pubs. Get the Waterford Chicken sandwich. It can get a little loud when it's busy but that just adds to the atmosphere.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has easy access ramps to front. Everything is on one floor.

First time coming here as we don't live in Peoria. The atmosphere was welcoming and definitely had an Irish touch to it, when looking at the venue was disappointed to see not much irish dishes. No shepherds pie. I was looking forward to Boxty. It is a pub dressed as irish. not an pub with irish food. The food we did get was good though! Service was nice. Guess we should have checked the menu before arriving.
