Coffe drink was great, food (spinach & cheese empanada) was a bit lack-luster and small for the price. Fruit flies/gnats made this a 4/5 star experience as I had to keep them off of my food and out of my drink the whole of the 30 mins I was there, which was frustrating.
I heard of El Rio through a coworker and stopped for a coffee. I got the Java Mocha drink and the Banana Bread toast. Both amazing. Presentation was 10/10 and the taste was 10/10. Staff were so calming and helpful. I will come back so soon!
The two sandwiches we got (chicken and truffle pastrami) were very tasty. The chicken empanada was fairly lousy. We ordered the empanada because we assumed it would get to us instantly, but they forgot it and only brought it out after the sandwiches. The sandwiches themselves took a fairly long time.
The vibe was very nice. The staff was friendly, but they didn’t seem too experienced in running the restaurant.
