Grand Prairie Pizza & Tavern

My husband and I stopped here for dinner. After being seated, we waited 35 minutes before a server came to our table. Several people who came in after us, received their drinks, and had their orders taken, as we waited patiently. The temperature of the restaurant was freezing cold. I never got warm enough to take my winter jacket off. I was literally shivering the entire time. I could tell the other patrons were cold too. There was an annoying light at our table, that must of had a 250 watt brillant white light bulb in the fixture. Every light in the restaurant had a different shade of white bulb the fixtures. Bright white, Sun light, White light. Definitely, a poor lightly option for a dinner restaurant. After our server finally arrived, with no appology for the wait time, she took our order, then left, leaving our menus laying on the table in front of us. We ordered a deep dish pizza. A different server tried to deliver someone else's food to our table on 2 separate occasions. When our pizza finally came out, it was placed on the table, with no plates, no silverware, and no napkins. After a bit, she came back to our table with our plates. Before I could ask for silverware she was gone again. I had to track down another server to ask to silverware. When that server came back she only brought 1 packet of silverware, so we had to share, so that we could eat before our food got any colder. The server never came back to check on us or refill drinks. After finally getting our bill and paying, our dirty dishes and menus were still sitting on the table. This was not my first time visiting this restaurant, but it will definitely be the last. I have never had a more horrible experience at a restaurant in my life . It is clear that this was not just an " off night". This restaurant is poorly managed to say the least.

We love the pepperoni rolls. I had the neapolitan pizza it was good. Had a nice balance of tomatoes and basil. My rather picky child even enjoyed the traditional pizza no mushroom.

Pan pizza is always delicious. Good assortment of beers on tap with nice happy hour specials. When it gets busy it can be a bit slow, but it is a great place to wind down after work

Pepperoni rolls were fantastic. Pizza is good. Pasta is ok. Burgers are performed frozen patties, I wouldn't call them "hand crafted". Not bad, but not anything you can't find anywhere else. Stick to the pizza though and you'll be ok. Prices are about normal for what you'd expect these days. Waitress was great, but we were basically the only people there on a Saturday afternoon.

This is the 2nd time I have tried to come in since the new name changed. The bartender lady tonight was horrible....a guy she is interested in came in and there was no one at the bar but me and him and i took second chair. I had to ask 4 different times for attention for a drink
I will NEVER come again and I will tell everyone NOT to go there!!! Rude!!??

The pizza is delicious. Hamburger was fresh like homemade.

Hostess sat us outside. We waited for 15-20 minutes and a server never came. A server did see us outside on her break at about 10 minutes in.

First time ordering and we will return! Easy to order takeout online. Quick timely curbside pickup with cold and hot food packed separately. We ordered supreme pan pizza, extra crispy dry rub traditional wings, side salad, and apple dessert calzone. Wings & dips were excellent. Pan pizza had plentiful toppings and tasty crust that was not too greasy. Toddler even ate it with all the toppings! Calzone had real apples and not too sweet with ice cream on side even to go. We’ll be back! Glad it’s a local place now!
