My first visit there and I ordered a 6 pack of beef tamales. All I can say, this man does a great job making tamales and is very friendly and accommodating. He is to tamales what BB King is to the blues. The price is right, the portions are excellent, and the corn meal and texture are perfect. These things will fill you up but keep you wanting to take that next bite! I had a great experience walking up to the window, ordering my tamales, and then taking them home and sharing them with my wife! I have had a few tamales in my day and for the most part, while ok, most others seem really boring and pedantic when compared to Jeff Scott tamales. Food establishments like this are a gem to have in our neighborhoods and I wish there were more like this. Give the guy 5 stars!!!!

These were delicious, nice and moist with a good kick! They also steamed all the way home. I 100% recommend, these are the type of restaurants that Peoria needs!

Great tamales! Had pork chop that was perfectly seasoned!

Great service and amazing Delta style tamales! If you haven’t stopped by and grabbed some, you need to! Picked up a dozen beef and a dozen chicken, spot on! Four adults and theres only 3 tamales left lol! Enjoy!

I loved these tamales! I've had some good tamales and some not so good tamales, but these are the best. I can say that the cornmeal texture is just right, it holds together well. the meat is A grade- and a really good amount of it, keeping that perfect ration of cornmeal to meat filling. Last but not least, the sauce and spice is blended to perfection and is out of this world!

Only good things to say. Friendly service, excellent tamales, good prices. Love the grab and go method. Highly recommend!!
Unfortunately, my first experience wasn't a good one. I called late and the gentleman who answered the phone said "they were closed but they had 12 beef and 6 chicken tamales left". I requested the chicken and he said he would hold them for me and stay open. I drove 20 minutes to get the tamales. I got there around 6:30 pm and picked up the tamales. He said "he had 4 other people who wanted the tamales he held for me". Total was $12.46 for 6 tamales which was 2 bundles of 3 tamales. The gentleman was nice and I told him I appreciated him staying open and holding the tamales for me. He said "that is what you do for your customers". I got home and I only had 5 tamales. 1 bundle of 2 and 1 bundle of 3. I tried 1 tamale and it was so salty!!! Hard to eat with all the salt. The flavor of the shredded chicken is good but the salt is overpowering. The sauce is orange/red in color. I think I'll give them another chance and maybe other varieties have better taste and less salt.

These are not authentic Mexican Tamales. Theyre midwest style tamales. The meat is minced. I got two different types and they tasted the exact same. Theyre not bad.....

These are extremely good. They come bundled 3 at a time. When you order a half dozen, your ordering 2 bundles. Can be confusing on the menu. Typically have chicken, steak, and beef.
