Steak 'n Shake

This isn't like how it was when we grew up, but that is to be expected. Only kiosk options to order. The food is pretty consistent and how I remember it, and the thin fries are still a good unique flavor. The new beef tallow frying doesn't seem to change the flavor much. There is also a random Bitcoin burger, which I don't really understand the point of, but that helps keep the menu interesting I guess.

There was a paper printed at the kiosk and instructions to scan when getting your self serve fountain drink. But we couldn't figure out the point of that system because it appeared we could use the fountain just as any other restaurant.

If you burn the onion rings order, toss them and start again. That's what I had to do, throw them away! Along with my money. I won't be back

Always ask to have my Frisco melt cut in half like the photo on the menu board , they never seem to complete this simple 2 second task .I have cut my lip on the sharp crust before.

Do not go for a drive thru here. They take years to process even if it's a small order and the staff are not responsive and rude.

I waited 35 minutes in the drive thru only to get a dry cold burger and a shake that was half full and had little to no whipped cream

Ordered a grilled cheese and chilli. The cheese wasn't melted on the sandwich, when I showed it to the employee her response, we'll it was on the grill the required amount of time. She didn't offer to remake or Anything, just looked at me blankly. I ask her to fix it or remove it from the ticket.
So tired of such mediocre service EVERYWHERE

Food was standard fare. Service as expected. However, there was a spoiled brat running around the dining room. Not only did staff make zero effort to ask the mother and the shrill grandmother to control the child, they actively encouraged her to climb on booths and signs.

First time ever to a Steak n Shake. Food was good, fresh, hot… you can tell it had not been sitting under a warmer. The service was quick and friendly!

Place was extremely filthy and the food and staff were just awful. Yelled at us and accused us of recording them for some reason. They kinda looked like they were on something. Somebody probably should go in there and record tbh. Don't know how it's still in business.

Bad service ,rude employees,very sloppy they just throw food all over in our bags. I can't believe this place is in the wrong when people and I spend our hard earned money and they don't wanna do their job right.

waited for 15 mins at the window and didn’t even have my money taken, or any acknowledgment at all for that matter. university would’ve gotten it done in 5

Waited in line for over 20 mins for 2 chili Mac’s. It does not take that long to make them. I was the first car with 3 behind me. This is just crazy how slow they have gotten and how down hill this company has went since the pandemic!
