The Talisman, also known as Broadgauge, is a beautiful restaurant that offers a variety of food options. The menu recently shifted to a small plates format, which includes items like vegetable egg rolls, ribeye ponyshoe, and the delightful beer cheese soup. The cheddar jalapeno soup, walleye, barbecue brisket, and tiramisu remain notable favorites. While some diners previously enjoyed the NY Strip steak, loaded baker, pork chop, and chimichurri sauce, recent changes have made the dining experience different from what regulars might expect. Although the service and drinks continue to meet high standards, the restaurant can be noisy and pricier than anticipated. Some guests were disappointed by the limited offerings due to a recent chef change, but the food is still fresh, well-presented, and tasty.
