Have always had a great experience here. The staff is really wonderful and the food is good and priced right. Relaxed enough to go in alone or with a group. Looks like it has its regulars but I've always felt welcome and been taken care of.
My boyfriend and I are from Petersburg and had never eaten at the Grainery before. We decided today was a good time to try it out. Our food was the best food we had ever had. I ordered the cheeseburger, which I feel comfortable saying was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. My boyfriend was also totally thrilled with his chicken sandwich. The menu has a nice variety of choices and a few surprises. I don't know of any other restaurants near Springfield IL that serves Grouper fish. The Breaded Pork Tenderloin is made fresh abd its really good. The Wednesday night fried chicken special is really popular. Food here is great, staff super friendly.
