If you are looking for a place to relax and have a few drinks, then this is the place for you. The sangria slushy was delicious. The food and service were not impressive at all. After getting our drinks, it took another 15 minutes for someone to take our food order. Actually, a kind woman at another table noticed we were still waiting and said something to their server. I ordered the BBQ nachos - the meat was cold. Not what I expected - cold nachos.

Mase's Place offers top-notch food and a fun casual atmosphere, making it a great spot to visit with friends, especially after a day of hiking the little grand canyon. The outdoor patio dining experience is enjoyable, set in a clean wooded area, and has large portions. The big azz pork steak lives up to its name for size and big flavor, while the smoked brisket is also terrific. Although service can be slow during busy times, it is friendly and quick for the most part. One customer even shared how the cook went out of his way to help them get gas when they ran low. Despite not being open year-round, this fantastic restaurant is worth the visit, especially for the opening day in the middle of nowhere.
