Love this place. Owner is very welcoming and accommodating. Cocktails are outstanding as is their bourbon list. Such a great atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem and a must stop if you're a bourbon lover. They have so many bottles and reasonable prices for what you're drinking. Including a row of purple tops. (😉 IYKYK) be sure to check out the art throughout the shop and take a peek at the bottle shop in back. A lot of great store picks and again, good prices.

I would say that Barrel Society is the premiere whiskey establishment in all of North Central Illinois and quite possibly all of Illinois. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. It seems that there's always a friendly laid back crowd hanging out. The building and decor do a great job setting the mood and creating a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy the evening and some spirits! The only thing I wish was different is that it was closer to where I live!!!

I do have to say if anyone is ever in the area this is the bar to be at. If you want a beer you can go anywhere... However if you enjoy a wonderful cocktail that someone put some thought into... this is the place! If you see a negative review just know its not relevant ... its a small town.. lol. That's actually why I wrote a review in the first place... We don't need the negativity =]
