I would say that Barrel Society is the premiere whiskey establishment in all of North Central Illinois and quite possibly all of Illinois. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. It seems that there's always a friendly laid back crowd hanging out. The building and decor do a great job setting the mood and creating a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy the evening and some spirits! The only thing I wish was different is that it was closer to where I live!!!

I do have to say if anyone is ever in the area this is the bar to be at. If you want a beer you can go anywhere... However if you enjoy a wonderful cocktail that someone put some thought into... this is the place! If you see a negative review just know its not relevant ... its a small town.. lol. That's actually why I wrote a review in the first place... We don't need the negativity =]

If you are in the Princeton area and enjoy bourbon/whiskey, this is the place to go. Amazing selection of bourbon and the cocktails are so delicious. Bonus.... they are pet friendly!! Nick is awesome and let us celebrate our fur baby, Steve's 14th birthday at their place! Can't wait to visit again soon!!
