The food and service was excellent and the owner, Jerry, was kind enough to listen to stories of my childhood, working in the hardware store that my great grandfather started back in the early 1900s. Was lucky enough to work for my grandpa there while in middle school. Great to see some of the original things that have been kept. We will be back next time we visit.“

“Been here quite a few times over the years. Today we had the house special chop suey, shrimp fried rice, bbq pork fried rice, crab Rangoon, egg roll. Everything was cooked so well and was tasty and delicious! Food was definitely the best we've had from here.
I wish they would spruce up the front, and get rid of the plastic divider window, it just looks a little dindgy in there.“

“My family and I love Lake Geneva and came into town recently and this one particular night was very off but I sent them a message and unlike SO many other restaurants they were kind and truly went above and beyond to fix our situation. It doesn’t matter how good a restaurant can be, they can still have an off night and how they handled our situation is something most restaurants wouldn’t have done. “Great place! Cute shop, wonderful patio/courtyard area. We were out with our dog stopping at dog friendly locations with her and everyone was so nice! Loved that they had themed flights to choose from, and our Miss Frannie was spoiled with her own bowl of fresh cold water and some dog treats from them. We were able to purchase a pup cup for her as well. (they had the choice of pup cup or doggie ice cream for the pups) We will definitely be back again! 😊“

“I want to begin by saying that we love this place. BUT, the service and food were just horrible. My husband's wings were good but my nachos were terrible. The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

“We have been going here for a while. The other breakfast places around here are nothing compared to whistle stop. The food is always fresh, hot, friendly professional staff and every guest is treated the same which makes us feel comfortable and wecome. I have not had one bad dish everything is great. Giant Homemade Bun, Thick Thick Sliced ham My French Toast was Great (Homemade bread), the little fat Sausages were cooked perfectly, the only negative for me and it really isn’t a negative is they had breakfast potatoes rather than hashbrowns (they do have them during the week, just not on weekends) Definitely worth the drive and the wait. You won’t leave here hungry but you will leave with a to go container.“

Today - based on the owner's recommendation - we started with a cupl of their meat and veggie soup that did not make it on the official menu - sorry missed a photo of it - delish! 😍 Pork, chicken and beef in a savory broth chock full of veggies - carrots, celery, onion 🤤 followed that with the egg salad appetizer, one of our absolute favs 🤩 4 toasted rounds of bread with their excellent egg salad 👍 then we tried the new potato pancakes entree for the first time, which came topped with assorted grilled veggies, plus toast, eggs and hollandaise sauce.. we got the eggs scrambled, rye toast buttered, sauce on the side, and requested a side of sour cream. YUM 😋 ended up with the vanilla cake with vanilla frosting - sorry to miss a photo of that too. Awesome! Service was timely, water glasses attentively refilled, as was the coffee too. $31 Note: it was one order of each item as we always split 🤯 We also got 2 bloody Marys and 2 mimosas, plus a Bailey's, kahlua and amaretto mix to add to our coffee as a nightcap from Old Bridge Tavern next door $48 Left with no leftovers and completely satisfied, happy and full.“

“I'm telling you. Their Biscuits and gravy are by far my favorite from Busy Bee. I've tried so many other places in and around mchenry, and some are fine. But I love how Creamy and almost buttery these are. I get them every single time I go.

My husband loves that he can get lunch food while I stoll get my breakfast.

“We have been going there for the last five years bragging about the hamburgers. Went there today order the hamburger it came out. Almost fully well done very poor quality. One asked If I could have gotten it rare was told menu says medium well. Meat was of a quality as if it was cooked earlier this week. Definitely will not be going back for hamburgers. Was told by the waitress No one will ask you how you want it done it says on the menu. We used to consider it best burger in town.“

Not today! We have finally found a restaurant that delivers in all the areas we have been looking for and then some. Listen, want to know how to spot a good Mexican restaurant , try their chip and salsa and their aqua de horchata. If they’re stale, you’ll know first hand what to expect.

Well, let me tell you that not only did this place feel welcoming, their food was delicious! The tamales was the key factor in this as well as their rice. My brother and I were left satisfied and happy. The owner reminds me of my father, someone who fights to make a living and the way everyone here treats their customers is outstanding! I can see why the people who kept arriving had a smile on and just respected as if they were familia.

“Went here for the first time service was exceptional. They let us know today was mothers day in mexico which I loved it doesnt change anything but it was cute that they mentioned it to us. They stopped us on our way out to give me and my friend roses for mothers day. They were quick and on top of everything, very attentive. “The 3.7 Rating that I see, is NOT correct. I would give it 5 for for burgers and fries (only because I haven't tried everything on the menu...yet). The best burgers and fries! (Seriously!) burger was cooked medium well, just like we ordered. The fries were not too firm or too soft...perfect texture. Fries were lightly salted, and as a person who normally doesnt salt food, I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor it added. I dont know how they discovered the perfect amount of salt to use, but they did! We also treated ourselves to strawberry daquiries! Excellent meal, friendly service! Yum!!!!“
