Who would expect a fine Curry in rural northwest Illinois? The masalla chai delicious with a spicy bite and a creamy smoothness. It's a really small glass so you probably end up with 3 ounces of tea for $4.50. The food was authentic southern Indian cuisine. The crowd was sparse at prime Thursday night dinner time. The excellent: Only Indian joint in the area.The good: Fast, decent portion of main dish and absolutely perfectly prepared, no screwing around authentic Indian food. At first I thought it would be a dive, but the Indian food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Masala and the spice was just right. It was very flavorful. They also have an American menu. My wife ordered just a salad and all the ingredients were fresh. Service was also good.
