“First time here and I'd give it an 8/10! A lot of food for the price. Delicious sauces and juicy burgers. The items that are beer battered are very rich in flavor and I could only have a few bites. Favorite items would be fries and the Sizz burger.“

I ordered some veggie tacos since I'm vegetarian and they hadn't taken a veggie taco order before but they were more than willing to put the order together for me! One of the owners also said that he'd look into adding on more vegetarian options in the future which was super generous of him to say and look into!

They also put in a couple of what had to be churro cookies that were incredibly delicious! I could order a whole pack of those cookies and still want more!

The tacos were amazing and delicious! You also can't beat the price here so definitely be sure to give these amazing people your love and support for their restaurant as you won't be disappointed!

I will be a returning customer without a doubt! :)

“This is the best food truck option in the state line area! We live in Freeport and drive to Rockford just to get Kodai! Customer service is always exceptional and the food is made with love! Prices are unbeatable for good quality Japanese food! Everything we’ve tried has been amazing, excellent quality and fresh! Some of the BEST, crispy gyozas I’ve tried (Japanese and Korean food are our fav so we’ve tried a lot!). My only suggestion would be to consider doing a yummy yummy and yucky yucky sauce like the interactive Japanese hibatchi restaurants. Don’t get me wrong their yum yum sauce is good but it’s mayo based. Normally I do not eat mayo based yum yum sauces but I do really like theirs. If they had those ginger sauce and a mustard sauces they would get alllllllll my money!“
