Loved the pub atmosphere and the vivacious server. The beer and wine were great. Had the soup and salad. Soup was excellent with loads of vegi's. Salad was ok after removing the slimy pieces. Salad dressing was made in house and very tasty. The bread was excellent.Husband had the hummus bowl. Lots of fresh vegetables along with pieces of warm bread. He said it was delicious. Restaurant had vegan options.

The food is just okay. The service is just ok. They sell themselves as a trendy hipster place but what they really are is just an okay bar in a great location in downtown Rockford. My wife and I went for an Ice Hogs game the same night of another concert happening downtown. Maybe it was just a bad night.

Restaurant has a very mellow atmosphere, and delicious food. It's unfussy - the menu is written on a chalkboard, so they want you to move around and check the place out. Drinks were good too.

Our food was absolutely one of a kind! We were looking for simple bar food and there was nothing average about this spot! Everything is organic and made in house and I have never had ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, meat, and bun combo like this! We WILL be back! Our waiter Ethan was extremely accommodating polite and well spoken!

Excellent. Had Bangers and Mash and I was impressed. Sausages were very tasty. Nice side of crisp green beans. Service was excellent. Plenty attentive without being pesky. Irish beers but switch between Harp and Smithwicks.

Gourmet dining in a timeless pub atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Lovely menu selections. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. The perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary. A charmed night.
I found this place while just looking around and got lucky. I had the steak and potato with green vegetables. The steak was cooked perfect, medium rare and had a nice season on it with a good sear outside. I took it to go, but there was a nice bar too. If I had more time I will have a drink on my next visit.

We really enjoyed the food here and the service was very good. The only real downside was that the menu was written on a chalkboard and it was difficult to see from where I was sitting. I went over and took a couple of quick pictures of the chalkboard so that I could go back to my seat and choose my meal and that was not even really that much of an inconvenience. I will definitely be back.

Had dinner at the Irish Rose for the first time in a long time last night. The food was as delicious as we remember. The zucchini appetizer is one of my absolute favorites. My husband’s eggplant Parmesan he said was excellent. My pork chop sandwich was huge and paired with a special salad and ripe tomatoes…it was phenomenal. Loved the special on cosmos too! I don’t know our servers name but she did a great job.

Stopped in Rockford for the afternoon, walked in for lunch and was immediately greeted with a warm "Hello! Welcome have a seat!" The staff was very friendly and a gentleman at the end of the bar started a conversation about the area. Very friendly and knew a lot about the area. Food was AMAZING, what we thought would be general bar food was certainly not. The Cesar salad was easily one of the best I ever have had. The friend mushroom were like none I've ever had, they use oyster mushroom and they were delicious! Through this wonderful appetizer meal the staff and our new friend at the bar kept us great company and excellent service. We wrapped up and Michael introduced himself as the owner. 100% will be going back!
