“I consider myself a connoisseur of pizza. And lately, my son and I have been on a mission to compare and rate deep dish (Chicago style) pizzas in Rockford and the Greater Chicago area. We ordered deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza for pickup. We were not disappointed. The sauce was very fresh and sweet with tomato chunks in it. So delicious! And the price was very reasonable compared to others. Now our number 1!!! We will be back!!!“

“My order was late being delivered and we figured out it was likely delivered to the wrong address. The staff was helpful, quickly remade the order, and delivered it without a problem. The delivery driver was very polite and even ensured our address was corrected in the system. I appreciate their great customer service and the food was amazing as always.“

“Saturday 6/11 we ordered $96 worth of food at the East State location. Went to pick it up and the owner asked what we needed. We stated we order food and gave her our name. She was lscrambling and said she doesn’t have an order for us. We ordered it online and she found it. She gave us 3 bags. We wanted to open them to make sure everything was there. She said “ I personally bagged the order, it’s all there,” in a sarcastic tone. Okay since she’s the owner we took her word for it. Got home and we’re missing 4 items. Called her to credit the debit card and she said she couldn’t but can give us a gift card for the amount. Food was hot, quality was pretty good. But honestly I won’t ever go back. For being the owner, and a local restaurant she was not friendly and didn’t even Thank us when we left. She needs training on how to greet and thank her customers. Paninos…STEP UP YOUR GAME!“

The waiter was new but he did a pretty darn good job for a newbie. My only complaint was a restaurant was so cold that I could have used a jacket. I heard others complaining of the same thing.“

I don’t suggest the stuffed crust because the pizza gets a bit too thin at least for my liking for the normal crust pizza is amazing.“

“I ate there tonight my first time unbelievably awesome food. I ate the Italian beef on garlic bread and a cannoli. We also had the onion cilantro, steak tacos. Everything was perfect and very tasty. Will definitely go back. There are menu. Options are huge.“

“I was told that Gerry’s Pizza is amazing. Well it really isn’t. We tried it yesterday for the first time. We asked for a very thin crust and while it was thin it wasn’t more so than any other thin crust. The sauce lacked flavor. It was at best bland. We asked for extra sausage & cheese. If what they gave us was extra I’d hate to see what regular cheese & sausage consisted of. The bigger letdown was the “Fresh Calamari.” This wasn’t fresh! It was straight from the freezer bag to the deep fryer. Breading was very institutional from a place like Gordon Food Service. The person that took my order over the phone and got my food for me was very nice. You get one chance to make a first impression. Gerry’s food fell far short.“

“I've been driving past this place since they opened, but only recently had a chance to eat there when a friend and I stopped in to try it. My friend had pizza and I had an Italian beef sandwich. Our server were very friendly. The Italian beef was delicious, and I had enough left over to take with me. My friend was equally pleased with the pizza. Yesterday, I decided I didn't feel the cooking after I got off work, so I pulled up the online menu and put an order in. The online process was easy to navigate, and my order was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up at the convenient drive thru. The gal who waited on me was super friendly. I ordered the "baby" pizza - 6 slices, and the toppings were very generous; cheesy garlic bread with a side of sauce (which was in a closed container and wŕapped in cellophane just to be safe against spilling) and a canoli. Everything was excellent. I will definitely be ordering again when I am too lazy to cook!“
