Excellent breakfast, friendly service, treat us outsiders well.

Place was great! Caught our waiter snatching a bite of the freshly made Jerry's Meaty Skillet. Didn't really mind, just wish he would have asked.

Wheelchair accessibility: My uncles wheelchair got stuck on the door lip. Minor inconvenience but nothing awful.

They now have gluten free pancakes and french toast (and ALMOST NOBODY bothers to do that!) also their entire menu is clearly marked which items are Gluten-Free / gluten-friendly. It's not the nicest spot and the bathrooms are a little small and kinda gross, but there are restaurants that have much higher prices that aren't this accommodating for GF patrons.
Probably my new favorite breakfast spot in Rockford.

What happened? Attention to detail is critical. If the food is excellent but the service is horrible, it's a no go for us. We gave it two more chances after the initial poor experience and the third time was the deal breaker. The server knew the kitchen put all the sides on one plate instead of plates for who ordered them, and he still brought it to the table. Steak burrito no jalapenos, came with jalapenos and he caught that at the table. I will not eat before my wife gets her food but he said it will take about 3 minutes to make it over. 10 minutes later it finally came because I'm sure the kitchen didn't take it as a priority, and my food was lukewarm by that point at best. I hand him the plate and he argues that it still feels warm 🤦‍♂️. When the steak burrito finally came back, they took the jalapeños out, but also took the sweet peppers out that my wife was looking forward to. Incorrect again.

This place has a bad habit of allowing all the young servers to gather in a group and talk instead of paying attention to the customers, refilling drinks, and taking away empty plates. I don't care how foods are good is, if the service is bad, we will not go back. We gave it several chances, but that was enough.

I looked at the menu online and decided what I wanted, and then I placed a phone order and proceeded to drive over. I was there fairly quickly and let the gentleman at the desk know I was picking up a to-go order. He asked the name and ran my charge. When I got my receipt it was for $5 more than what I had expected, and it was just my one item on the receipt. When he came back with the food I questioned it, he asked another waitress, then told me "sorry, the pricess online are wrong." I said, ok you gotta update those but you should honor that price now. He went to get the manager. When she came up she was talking before she even got to the register, saying "the price is more because everything is more expensive these days, and everybody does it." True enough, but I'm not paying extra because you made a mistake. When I started to say something, she would constantly cut me off and talk over me until I finally just said I wanted a refund. She continued to talk over me, so I continued to repeat "I want a refund" until she processed it. All of this over a $5 upcharge that was their fault. When I got my refund receipt I left, without the food. She tried to make me take it, I think she thought I wanted it for free. No ma'am, I want to be treated with respect and dignity as your customer, not as a nuisance. At that point why would I eat your food? Terrible customer service.

The door country melt is delicious!! Great food for the price and large lunch portions. Skillets are a little small but the flavor is there.

Fox News for Breakfast is not what I expected on my first visit! Not appetizing at all that a restaurant would dare to have such hatred in public for everyone's dining experience. Food was ok, warm. Ordinary and basic, for a $40 breakfast with no drinks. Pancakes have a buckwheat flavor. Server asked my husband how he wanted his hash browns cooked but not me? I had to ask if I had a choice? They were good but had I not voiced anything? No ambience but felt very clean. Not sure I will ever return. Still looking for that special place that stands out.

I originally ordered the Steak Power skillet, on their menu its ~$14.99. When I got it, there wasn't any steak. They remade it, not a big deal. When I got the bill they charged me an extra $4 for added steak?? Does the *Steak* power skillet not come with steak? Or were they charging me for remaking the food they messed up? Either way, very dissapointing because the food tasted good.
