High level Peruvian fusion food.

Pros: unique restaurant with amazing food and drinks. The owners are friendly and attentive. It is cozy and charming. You can find something for any palette.

Cons: Chicago prices, and you will need at least one appetizer for that satisfaction of feeling you've had enough to eat.

Price for 3 drinks, 2 appetizer, and 2 entrees was $200.

The drinks and food were amazing!!! Everything we had was top notch. Excellent service and delicious dishes. We can’t wait to go back again.

This was my second time here, the first time was a few years ago and the food was as amazing as I remembered it. Ross was very attentive and made our whole experience memorable. The food was the best Peruvian food I've had in the US so far. 100% recommend!

The food was delicious, as a main meal we ordered lomo saltado and it was perfect the ceviche was my favorite. also it was my first time trying a pisco sour and it was delicious.

We came across LimaMar during the pandemic as we recently moved out to the Rockford area and wanted to support local restaurants suffering from all the restrictions. We love trying new cultures and saw there was a Peruvian restaurant -out of all things-and wanted to order all their authentic dishes and cocktails. It was tasty, unique and the cocktails were great! I of course ordered their ceviche too. So, when we recently had family visit, they wanted to go there for a birthday dinner. We could only do it on a Tuesday and typically it isn’t opened but the owner offered to open it up for private event and it was a great experience. The location is downtown Rockford and the decor is modern and fun. The owner was also the mixologist and was very knowledgeable on many drinks. We had a ton of fun ordering some of the most unique and quite honestly best tasting cocktails I’ve ever had. He hosted, helped and served us our entire meal and that was very gracious of him. The chef was his wife and she prepared a variety of the wonderful Peruvian dishes we were so excited to eat and the meat was really tender and the flavors unique and delicious. We tried all sorts of dishes and then ordered desert which like before was beautifully prepared, the presentation was lovely and flavor amazing! We stuffed our faces that evening. We had such a great time, highly recommend this place and can see this restaurant succeeding in the big cities - however, we hope they keep this location too! Thank you for a great experience!

Overpriced, mediocre food. Nothing really Peruvian here, seems like they are just reheating frozen food. The lomo saltado was like a 6oz steak with six fries and for $30. This place is a scam, for the ignorant.

It was the first time my husband and I went to this restaurant and I'm in love. Everything was delicious, atmosphere was perfect and the owners are so friendly and amazing. I can honestly say it's my favorite spot in town. If you haven't been here you are missing out. We are definitely coming back.

We've eaten here 4 times in the last 6 months and it's still not getting old. The seafood is so fresh and handled with such care. The sauces and flavors are inventive but the drinks are a whole different level of wow. We love this place and just hope it would stay a little busier. Go support!
