I've been in Northern IL for about 6 months and this is the best soul food in the area. Great customer service and good drinks

Clean and beautiful establishment. The staff was friendly. Entered the establishment to order dine out with a friend and had a small wait before being able to grab a menu I saw on a table. Staff told me one moment but that ended up being a 10 minute wait. After ordering the wait was about 30 minutes. Sausage was from a freezer not fresh. Eggs were just nasty. French toast was very good but I would've preferred a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Definitely not a great experience. Lots of room for growth.

a couple weeks ago I went here. got my son chicken and waffles and they gave him crusty old chicken fried up so badly literally there was no meat bc it was hard as a rock. then I know someone who family owns it. and contacted him via instant message. he said they'd reimburse me my money bc I paid 35 dollars. then they don't give me my money back. still it's been 3 weeks. he lied just so I wouldn't go down there and even said he didn't want me to give them a bad review. I'll never eat there again. rude and lied and I can't believe they served me the food they did. I have pictures too.

The food is generally good but over time they stop making items and customer service is poor. I ordered for pick up and came 10 minutes before they closed at 2pm and they would not provide me my order. Just kept hanging up on me. Thank goodness I had not paid before hand. Will not be going back there.

Service is excellent. It's really nice that they let ya know up front that they are short staffed. So customers should have the courtesy to be patient if the waiter or waitress is little slow on taking your order if it's real busy. The food is ???like always!!!

Downtown with ample of parking. Been here a few times. Very good omlette and the pancakes are the best. Reasonably priced and friendly service.

Horrible service. Sat down waited for 15 minutes no one acknowledged us, wasn't busy, just no one bothered. Seems like this place may only serve certain people. If you're exploring Rockford I would steer clear of this place.
Went to sister on main today and what a disappointment. When I walked in the floor look as if they hadn’t been moped in weeks. I let that go and we order breakfast and waited over 30 minutes for eggs and biscuits and gravy (every restaurant pre-cooks biscuits and gravy). We did ask what was up with our order but wasn’t told anything. About 40 minutes into our wait, I went to use the bathroom and the woman bathroom floor was sticky ,needless to say at the 40 minute mark we walked out without breakfast. I have never waited so long for eggs. I won’t be back and that saddens me because I want to support local.

Disregard the fact that the décor is worse than a dentist office and the help is a little slow... and you'll enjoy a decent overly salted meal.
