Rude customer service

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the way I was treated tonight was unacceptable.

My friend and I were the first customers at the food truck. As my friend was about to place his order, another woman walked up in front of my friend. The cashier stopped my friend, said that this lady was “his first customer,” and took her order before returning to my friend. Not knowing what that meant, we moved past it assuming perhaps this customer had been waiting?

Then, while I was in the middle of placing my own order, the cashier interrupted me, looked over my shoulder, called out, “Come here, boss,” and took the order of someone standing behind me. He never acknowledged me, made eye contact, or explained why he was letting someone else go ahead of me. If he had simply said, “Would you mind if I help this customer first - he’s been waiting for a while,” I would have happily agreed.

When I received my food, I calmly told him that I didn’t appreciate having two customers allowed to cut in front of us after we’d been waiting. He said that his system had been down which is fine, but instead of responding professionally or having a conversation, he immediately became defensive. He became intense and called my friend “honey.” He yelled, “Bye bye!” and slammed the door in my face.

The issue wasn’t that someone else was helped first—it was the complete lack of respect and communication. A simple explanation and basic professionalism would have made all the difference. I was sad about the encounter because he was so heated that it really ruined the evening.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The man (I think the owner) was very rude. When my friend and I walked up, there was no line or any people in front of the truck. We asked a question about the menu and then tried to order. Another person walked up and he waved them in front of us and told us they were there first. My friend and I didn’t say anything and he took my order, my friend started her order, but he interrupted her and waved another person that just walked up in front of us. We were confused but waited till he was ready to take my friends order. We waited a really long time for our food. When we finally got it my friend tried to tell him that we didn’t like the way he interrupted her order and just took someone else’s. We tried to explain to him how our experience was but he didn’t want to hear any of that and called me “honey” which did not feel nice. He waved his hands in our face and said “goodbye” and shut the door. I am very sad about this experience since my friend never tried this food truck before and I told her we should go there cause when I had it once before it was really good. If he could’ve given us a reasonable explanation that would’ve been totally fine we are ok with waiting for a bit and would 100% understand if things were hectic, but he was really rude. Now we will not be going there anymore unfortunately.

The first time I tried this food truck it was great service it was a lady and a younger girl. Service was fast and they prepared the food with gloves and had everything running smooth. The last two times I’ve had to wait an absurd amount of minutes just to order because the guy who is the owner did not have money in the drawer, he was handling food with no gloves, he was using his cutting knife to open his cash register and then wiping his sweat on his nose with the knife. Unprofessional, we’ve waited to order, waited for him to get money for his drawer. The guy seems unprofessional and not organized at all or hygienic. Sad review to give but I will say the woman and the younger girl were running everything the correct way and fast. I would only reccomend this place if you see someone other than the owner running it. He lacks alot of professionalism. We ended up leaving after waiting over an hour, both seperate times!

Waited about an hour in line and then another 30-40 minutes for my food, the same guy taking the orders and touching dirty money, was then handling the food,on his phone, back to handling the food all without washing his hands, seen another employee drop pitas on the ground. Pick it up, throw it away, and then without washing his hands, grabbed more food to put on the grill no one’s wearing gloves there.

Finally got my food after the market was over and they still had a number of people waiting for food.

Completely disorganized, terrible food and even worse service.

Food was good, no complaints.
But the wait time? I was about 10th in line. I waited 50 minutes to order, and another 25 for my sandwich to be ready. Many people gave up in frustration. I should have paid more attention when I first got in line.

First time trying at settlers days & it's mid at best. Customer service also was a negative . The man running the truck was very rude & looked like he didn't have his stuff together felt sorry for the other workers. Running in & out of food truck disappearing then coming back & handling food without gloves or washing his hands. Waited almost 25 minutes just to get my order that was also incorrect. Do better .

10/10 I LOVE this food truck so much I have never been unsatisfied everything they make is amazing

We tried The Olive Branch for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic! I ordered a dinner plate for myself, a sandwich for my husband, and we shared the Greek donuts. everything was so fresh and flavorful. There was a small mix-up when someone accidentally took my order, but the team handled it with complete grace and kindness. They went above and beyond to make it right. Excellent food, even better service, truly a five-star experience all around!

Came by closing night of RCM. The greek salad was so fresh and very good! Would return for this with the pita :) But the rice seems to have never encountered a seasoning and my chicken skewer was rather dry so I would probably avoid ordering these items in the future.

Visited them yesterday in Beloit for pulling for Hospice. We stopped twice, once for fries for our daughter, then for another order of them for us, and dessert. Delicious, good prices, and friendly service. Love how vegan friendly they are. I can't wait to get the falafel sandwich next time.

Very disappointed with the level of service provided tonight. I stopped down to the truck tonight at food truck Tuesdays at the conservatory. I’ve ordered several times from Olive Branch and always received pleasant service but not today! I ordered the Greek bowl and asked for not lettuce as I was waiting a lady from the back popped out and said “I accidentally put lettuce on your bowl, is that gonna be alright or am I gonna have to remake the whole things!?” Not only what she said was rude but her attitude was nasty. She then proceeded to keep asking was it okay and then asked me did I have an allergy!? I didn’t know I needed to have an allergy to request something off of the item IM PAYING FOR! Nor should I have to explain why I asked for it that way! She even asked me did I want the lettuce on the side but if you already made the bowl and you don’t want to remake it what were you going to scrape the lettuce off? Either way lettuce or no lettuce the lady was very rude and definitely left a bad taste in my mouth about this business! I was very pleasant about the situation and I didn’t have her remake the bowl yet she was acting like I had done something wrong when in reality she messed up the order and didn’t want to fix it! Horrible customer service!
