“I almost never write reviews but this is truly a gem. My wife and I are huge fans of Central Asian foods and we've been to quite a few. Before coming here we read a review saying that this was the best Central Asian restaurant in the Chicago area. And we can confirm that that is 100% correct. We're so glad that we found this new Kyrgyz restaurant just 20 minutes away from us.
We visited on a Tuesday night but man was it packed. Probably because it was Ramadan. Staff was friendly. And every single dish was so authentic and perfectly eexecuted. We left with very full and satisfied stomachs.
Just for reference, these were the dishes we ordered: Beef skewers, boorsok, mampar soup, lentil soup, lagman, and eggplant salad. All were great as mentioned.“

“My fiancé and I went here over the weekend and it was amazing! The sushi is so fresh and super filling. The protein to rice ratio was great. We ordered Scallop deluxe roll, Spicy crab crunch special, Salmon special roll, and Volcano deluxe roll. We definitely will be coming back! The owners were so sweet and welcoming. It's not all you can eat, but the sushi quality is amazing and reasonably priced. I highly recommend!“

“One of our favorite go-to spots! Everything is consistently delicious—the rolls are amazing, and the chicken and pork katsu are hands down some of our favorites. They put their own unique spin on the sauces, and it really takes everything to the next level. Also, the salad and dressing are super fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend Hakuya!“

“Dinner | $20–30 Service is very poor here, especially after they hired a new chef who uses garbage ingredients and does not even use the ingredients that is listed on the food description. We ordered the basil Thai rice with chicken after having a good experience the first time with nice large pieces of white meat chicken. Well sadly the second time instead of using chicken, they put a bunch of mushrooms and there are not supposed to be any mushrooms in there and there was not any chicken. So I called and I spoke with Annie, who was supposed to be the manager. She said that I would have my next mail free. So I called today and ordered basil fried rice with chicken. Instead of getting basil fried rice with chicken I got a small container of brown rice plain and then a container of something that looks like ground beef with a few basil, leafs and onion. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had and it was absolutely not basil fried rice. It looked like they ground up chicken organs, and it tasted even worse. I would avoid this place at all cost because clearly they don’t care about quality and service any longer and when they make a big mistake, they double down and make the mistake again and they don’t really care to make things right.“

“THE BEST FOOD EVER OMG???I am so impressed! Their fish is the BEST with boiled rice omg I fulfilled my fish craving by having this?excellent service and excellent atmosphere! I was so impressed! Perfect place for a nice lunch/dinner, the place gives warm feels! Every time I come here I get almost the same thing every time which is the fish I posted in the picture with plain rice and hakkah noodles. It was THE BEST. Best part is I live just 5 minutes away from here so I can come here anytime just for the fish?if you’re ever in the suburbs I suggest coming here, you won’t be disappointed!“

“This restaurant has the best rose tteokbokki I've ever had! The bulgogi and ramen are also delicious! The staff is very patient and will guide you through your menu selections. If you don't like your food too spicy, they will also adjust it to your liking. Very cute spot. Wonderful for date night.“

“The Front Desk staff, Mitchell was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our dinner thanks to the excellent service he provided. The food too was well prepared and tasty. What was disappointing was the extra dine-in 18 percent surcharge over and above other taxes on our bill! Not happy!“
