We started with the guacamole and chips, which were both incredibly fresh and delicious. For our main course, we tried the chicken enchiladas green sauce and mole sauce and it did not disappoint. Our server , Joel was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. “Taco Maya is definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food blew my expectations through the roof. The flavoring of every dish is on point and it’s like every bite takes you through a journey of deliciousness.My family and I started off with chips and salsa. It was so much fun to try all the salsas they have at their open salsa bar. Next we ordered some Cajun fries, which had the perfect fry-to-seasoning ratio. Let me just say, the spice mix on the fries has just the right amount of kick! For the main courses, we took the 3 taco plate, kids quesadilla, and burritos. They were all so yummy, hot, and fresh! The one thing I can say is, I wish they gave more quesadilla. It was a pretty small quantity.Dessert. I recommend the fried ice cream. It is the best ice cream I have ever had. They used Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It was so delish with the French vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.Anyone that has the chance should definitely try this place! “It was our first time here and we may have found our new taco spot. The food was great, but even better was the customer service which is rare these days. The gentleman up front (I believe his name was Jose) walked us through the menu with great recommendations. He also checked on us to make sure we're satisfied with our food. Already recommended this spot to a few friends. Will definitely return! ☺️“
“The most upsetting thing about this place was that I forgot my darn phone to take a picture of my plate. I had the tampiquena and shrimp combo. The tortillas are hand made, the meat is perfectly seasoned, the beans were a tad over salted but nothing major. Grilled onions and yummy salsas. Service was excellent and the chefs were so nice!! Please do yourself a favor, go and try it. Ample portions and fair pricing. Will be back again with all my family and friends! Buen provecho!“
“First time here. Really cool atmosphere. Lots of neon green and black. Creative names for menu items. Staff was nice. Tried a burrito with steak and shrimp and then you can choose your other ingredients which is nice. I would eat here again.“
“I'd like to start this post by saying most of the reviews that are 1 star seem like very sensitive people that are giving it a VERY bias review based on their own personal experience and not with the food. I ordered 3 meals and everything was outstanding. My own personal meal reminded me of a meal I got back home in St. Louis and could not be replicated in the Chicagoland area. The lomo en chile with a side of jalapeños. I mean outstanding. So much flavor and great portion size. As full as I was I couldn't stop eating it. The other 2 were asada taco dinners. Outstanding once again. Very authentic. Also got a large horchata and Jarritos. All of that food for only $50. Not only will I be going here again but I am having my company order meals for the store lunches we do. Do yourself a favor and come here for lunch or dinner. I personally can't wait to try breakfast.“
