Hidden gem. Steak is so soft and tender !
This is a taqueria within a small Mexican grocery store. The food is fabulous, the carne asada tacos are delicious but the barbacoa is also excellent, not to mention probably the best carnitas I've ever had outside of Chicago. The barbacoa and carnitas are also available by the pound which is an awesome option. The ambience is very basic, two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable.
I truly cannot recommend Taqueria Los Laureles enough.
We hired them to cater our daughter Solena’s first birthday, and Johnny made the entire experience so easy from beginning to end. From the first conversation, he gave me his personal cell phone number and was always available whenever I had a question or concern. Being able to simply text him throughout the planning process gave me so much peace of mind, especially while planning a party for over 100 guests.

Taqueria Laureles is a small Mexican grocery store taqueria inside a grocery store. The ambience is very basic with two tables and a few chairs, not pretty but the food is phenomenal and prices are very reasonable. The menu offers carne asada tacos, barbacoa and carnitas by the pound, an awesome option for anyone who wants authentic tacos that are generously filled. Simple onion and cilantro sit on top of the tasty filling, and the salsa verde has that heat you don’t always find. The barbacoa and carnitas are also described as excellent, and the carne asada tacos are delicious. Guests praise the best carnitas ever had outside of Chicago and the best quality perfectly cooked steak in a burrito. The asada burrito was excellent, and the steak burrito is affordable and flavorful. A huge chicken torta is very flavorful, tender, juicy and made fresh to order. Fresh rice and horchata are also available and delicious. Every single dish is fresh, authentic, packed with flavor and the variety is awesome. The service is exceptional, staff are nice, helpful and even bring special hot sauce for spice lovers. Prices are great, affordable and the food is fabulous. Many say this place is the best Mexican food guests have had outside of Mexico and guests will be back.
