“Checked out this local brewery in Rockford recently and had some good stuff while chilling. It's a small place but the beer has big taste. Urban Forest is located in a shopping center on Riverside, along with the popular pho place and whatever. Here it's mostly about beers. They also have fun things like trivia and live music. Beers are the main thing to get. It's really just a small taproom with not a whole lot of room. There's a patio that alleviates the crowds for summer. Menu isn't big but there's variety to choose from. Okay prices considering it's local and the quality. It's about $6 for a pint. That's about average for a small craft brewery like this. Best one we had was the Time & Materials. This is an oatmeal stout that has chocolate notes and layers of coffee and roast. Maybe there's chips for $1, but you can also bring food. There's a few restaurants in the plaza to make an order. Have a great time with some beers. It's a great visit after eating in the same plaza or bringing something here. There's fun stuff like music and trivia.“

“We had our rehearsal dinner in the peacock room and was amazing! The food was delicious and the room was perfect for what we needed it for. Staff was super nice and helpful and everything went very smoothly! I would definitely recommend having a rehearsal dinner/shower or party here!“
“This bar and grill with live entertainment was a pleasant surprise. My husband and I chose this place because it had a small menu where everything sounded delicious. The pulled pork and rack of ribs were done to perfection. The jalapeños cornbread was beyond delicious with the sweet butter. The brown beans were also homemade and we’ve never had such tasty warm beans. What can I say— this is a place that comes across as highly underrated. By the way, my mule was also the best I’ve ever had! Will certainly look this place up again if in the area“

“Yesterday was my first time in and I sat at the bar. I was warmly welcomed by the bartender, who remained engaged in pleasant conversation throughout my stay. One of the brewers discussed their beers with me and gave some great recommendations. The hot chicken sandwich with truffle fries was excellently prepared and a generous portion. The live music was nice, and not overbearing. The building is beautiful too. I’ll absolutely be back!“

“The place was busy, I also didn't realize it has two seating areas and an upstairs with pinball. The beer was tasty and refreshing. The fried pickles were bomb af. The oyster mushroom po'boy was good, not great but decent. Prices were on the high side for Impossible patties & vegetables. All.in all, it was good for vegan bar food. I would go back. As a footnote, the service was pretty bad. Multiple times we were brought food we didn't order (i.e. someone else's food) or already received. The food took a long time, but like I said, they were busy, which is good.“

“Had some great beers at this Roscoe brewery. It may be in a strip plaza, but it's better than it looks. Crazy Llama is run by military veterans, and is their way of raising awareness for veteran issues. For sure the beers help bring in people. The list has a good variety of these. A place like this is all about the beers. It's about $8 a pint. That may be kind of high but it's common for a microbrewery like this. Even so it has quite a few on tap to choose from. The best one of these we had was the Llama Juice. It's a strong one at 7.5% ABV. This is an IPA that's not all hoppy. Great place to get locally made beers. It's located in a strip plaza with plenty of parking. There's no food on the menu but you can bring in something.“
