Pretty cool experience where a chef will cook in front of you. We did have to wait for another party to arrive to our table to get started but the wait wasn’t long. The mango lemonade was delicious. We ordered the Benihana steak and it was average. Lunch for 3 was $140 plus tip, quite expensive.

I'm sure people and children will enjoy seeing Hibachi's performance for the first time. Looks good for birthday parties etc. I didn't see any Japanese staff. The taste is probably slightly adapted from Japanese taste. The Japanese beer and lychee cocktail were delicious. It was lunch time so it was empty so I went in without waiting.

Microplastics for the whole family to enjoy! We sat down at our table on 3/31 for a 4:45pm reservation. Immediately I noticed the table didn't look clean and the flattop had bits of old food around the corners. When the waitress came over to order our drinks, she allowed the entire platter to rest on the flattop.As she went around the table getting orders, the platter was noticeably bubbling and smoking. When it came time for our order, I informed her of the issue and she dismissed my concern. "The chef will clean the table anyways." Also, "Everything has microplastics in them these days." Before walking away.When the chef did come, he did one quick swipe with a damp cloth and proceeded to cook our food on top of the area the waitress can just baked her plastic platter on.The flattop was too hot and the chef burned a lot of food and scraped so much of it into the trash. Food tasted bland (lack of seasoning) and a little bitter (from the burning).Long story short, if I wanted to eat burned food marinated in plastic I'll go to the Dollar General and have a cookout. At least then it won't cost me $300.

The food is average because all they add to it is salt and pepper. So, there could have been more spices added for a better taste. The atmosphere was great. Our chef was very talented and funny. I felt as if we were short changed on the food amount because everything he cooked was shared with the entire table of 7 people and the meat portions were small. That was disappointing. I ordered the colossal shrimp and by the time he chopped them up and spread them amongst 3 of us at the table ,I got very few shrimp. Other than that the experience was nice, but for better food and larger portions, I will go somewhere else.

Food: Shrimp appetizer 3.5 stars. Cooked perfectly but needed just a little more seasoning. Salmon/tuna poke appetizer - 4 stars. Came in a glass which I've not seen before. Teriyaki steak - 4 stars. Melted in the mouth. I think a couple more seconds cooking would be good for medium rare. Seasoning was perfect. Avocado salmon was okay, I still have yet to find a restaurant that can cook salmon like a west-coaster... a little dry... needs more seasoning and a little less time on the grill. The sauce better than the fish. 4 stars on the sauce, 3 stars on the fish. Service: This location is better than the wheeling location in my opinion because it's a little smaller, more attention was paid by the wait staff to clear plates as the dinner went on, and I really appreciate that. Ambiance: It was good. A few birthdays happening but not too loud, and just a good vibe.

Made a reservation earlier in the week for a Saturday night only to enter at 10:15, the time of my reservation to see they’re locking the doors. One person said yes they could take us while another said no. Said I was the only reservation so they “ called “ me to cancel although I confirmed through an automated text earlier in the day. Then makes up an excuse to say the restaurant is being painted an HOUR before closing so they have to cancel my reservation. Then proceeded to ask how many people and STILL canceled my reservation. Make it make sense??? Absolutely ridiculous you ruined the only night out I had. If you want to close at 10, your hours should state that. You shouldn’t let people book hours you’re going to be too lazy to do your job.

I'm sorry but this place fell off I went today and it was horrible the worst. I used to love this place but 1st thing we walk in and a whole table where u sit was dirty napkins on the floor food everywhere nobody clean it up 2nd thing my wife's soup had a piece of paper in it like a staw paper 3rd the salad dressing was all water no sauce it was horrible 4th they gave us forks and when I grabbed my fork there was a piece of rice stuck to it and the girl waitress u can see she was so embarrassed. 5th thing the people next us got thire salad and a long hair was stuck to it we got up and left that was it... the manager came towards us when we leaving all he said was I'm sorry that's it... No explanation no if u come back il give u a discount or a gift card nothing at all he didn't even tried so we went to the benihana in Lombard it was good and clean and everything perfect this was 3/16/24 so disappointed. I never seen a whole full table walk out and we didn't even know the other people someone plz help this location
