That damn mario pulling my cart that I'm using for standing support because I recently had back surgery. I asked him not to pull the cart, he gona say "oh ok but my lines are long." In an effort to keep the lines moving he turns rude. I told someone I hope they get him together.

Been shopping here at the Schaumburg location for almost the last 20 years! Even though family and friends tell me I should shop at the Lake Zurich store (so as to avoid paying that ridiculously high Cook County sales tax), I'd rather just shop here since it's just 10 minutes from home and I won't have to get road rage dealing with god-awful bumper to bumper Rand Road traffic! Anyways, the Schaumburg store has practically everything I need: great, lower cost premium gas, great food/grocery items, drinks (e.g. juices, sparking water, wine, booze), pharmacy, optical department, electronics...you name it! If I could move my furniture in here---I WOULD!!! All the people from the various departments I've interacted with are all friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!! It's no wonder this store is packed to the rafters every time I shop here!

Never had much of an issue until I needed to make a return. The associate named Dan was taking his dear time and multitasking by engaging in irrelevant banter with his coworker, a female with mid length hair and glasses. What seemed like a 5 minute task was about 10 minutes keeping in mind that I was also the only customer in the service line and it was not busy at all. I don't appreciate my time wasted and for being a member for twenty plus years for unproductive not to mention unprofessional service.

Just left this location. Was standing in the membership line to get my Costco card number there was one costumer in front of me. The Costco worker (blondish brown short bob didn't get her name) was helping this costumer (white lady). When the costumer left I walked up because I was next, we made eye contact, she looked at me and left didn't say a word. No please go to another register or I am have to do something else. I stood there thinking she was going to clearly come back back because she just put the return item up behind the counter but was avoiding eye contact and you could tell she was tying to just do simple things to avoid me, it was as if I didn't exist. I watch and kept giving her eye contact but she kept avoiding me she also seemed to be a manager. I am like damn I think I just experienced racism at this location. I should have got her name but I was too busy looking at her thinking is she really acting like she doesn't see me and that I am not standing her.

Cakes are delicious and can be ordered one day ahead for a party.

Aside from the crowds and the enormous packaging size, I like Costco. For a warehouse club, they offer an excellent collection of many, many items. From fresh foods, prepared foods, their outstanding roasted chicken (a loss leader for them), beer, liquor, and wine, paper goods, cleaning supplies, electronics, optical, snacks, pharmacy, and even furniture and plants, they have an enormous selection of goods. The packaging is generally for buying in bulk. You don't buy a pack or two of Charmin; you buy six packs of six rolls. Want roses? They come in 2-dozen packs. Spices, canned, and baked goods are all in large quantities. Their fresh meat selection rivals the best butchers in the area, but you don't buy a few steaks; you buy twelve of them. Get the picture? We had a party this past week where we hosted about 40 people. We bought almost everything we needed at Costco. We only had to heat or cook some prepared foods, lots of wine and liquor, and a variety of baked goods.Usually, when we go, we get a Costco Chicken. They have the best roasted chickens I've had outside of a restaurant. At $4.99, they lose money on every chicken they sell. They lose money for This and the hot dog meal at the hot food counter - $1.50 for a quarter-pound hot dog and a fountain drink. But these two items drive people to a store where the average purchase price is (my guess), close to or over $200. It is a great marketing tool where the overall return significantly outweighs the loss. And I take advantage of that.I can deal with the crowds when walking through the warehouse. What I have difficulty with is waiting in long lines to check out. How long the line is clearly depends on the time of the day and the day of the week. Don't go on weekday nights after work - things are crazy. I also avoid going over the weekend, for the same reason. The bottom line is, that if you need large quantities of something, the price of a Costco membership is well worth it for the savings you get when buying in bulk. And, remember, the quality of just about everything is above average.

Added items for the upcoming fall season! Many new food court items like roast beef sandwich and Mango smoothie! If you love mango then this smoothie they have is the one to get! It's basically all mango flavor and a whole lot more than just a smoothie!

It's probably just me, but firstly...I feel like a criminal when I leave the store as they check the recept, count the bags, etc. It's so annoying. You need a lot of upper body strength to manage those carts and giant items. Produce! I waste money because it goes bad before I van finish it. The only things I ever bought there were reading glasses, batteries and trash bags. I can get comparable prices for trash bags and batteries at Menard's without a membership fee. I'm not sure why everyone likes it so much. My kids and I never liked the ready made meals. Bland as heck. If I want a jar of peanut butter, I do not wish to buy five giant sized. The Xmas wrapping paper was cheap and ugly. Clothing, cheap, Chinese made polyester. I just don't get the hoopla. For me it was not cost effective, even having two sons. It's kind of a zoo, there. Forgive typos. Will not let me go back and edit.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Went for the first time recently and I am very happy to have signed up for a membership. Very clean, organized and well stocked store. Also the pizza is amazing!

The customer is low is the food court they are only automated payment , so go to the kiosk order your items. Then they call you number out , when the was there they called this one number out three times then said last called. Similar to self checkout they point and say, it's open, I reply don't worry I come to Costco for the membership privileges not to be recognized as a paying customer

The check out is really ridiculous they could take a pointer from sams club with scan and go. When i asked them if they had scan and go she said no this is costco on a Sunday. When i finally got to check out the check out guy was so busy chatting with the girl behind him about a man in the store with support birds that when i asked him a question he didn't look at me to answer he did this twice. Absolutely horrible service will not be back going back to Sam's where the treat they're customers like they matter.
