Been shopping here at the Schaumburg location for almost the last 20 years! Even though family and friends tell me I should shop at the Lake Zurich store (so as to avoid paying that ridiculously high Cook County sales tax), I'd rather just shop here since it's just 10 minutes from home and I won't have to get road rage dealing with god-awful bumper to bumper Rand Road traffic! Aside from the crowds and the enormous packaging size, I like Costco. For a warehouse club, they offer an excellent collection of many, many items. From fresh foods, prepared foods, their outstanding roasted chicken (a loss leader for them), beer, liquor, and wine, paper goods, cleaning supplies, electronics, optical, snacks, pharmacy, and even furniture and plants, they have an enormous selection of goods.The packaging is generally for buying in bulk.
