I've been there 2x this week for breakfast.
First time I had the chicken fried steak and fruit. While not much on presentation (not an easy dish to " spiff up"), it was delicious. The service was a bit slow.
Today I had the gypsy skillet and substituted for the fruit. Better presentation. Server remembered me and was was very attentive.
I hope to go back for their new dinner. Maybe they could table tent some of the different dinners?
My wife and I wanted to have breakfast. One of the restaurants we normally frequent was very busy and the parking lot was full. We saw Matty's and decided to give them a try. The decor was old-school and very Homey. We were greeted immediately by a very pleasant hostess. Our waitress came quickly and got our drinks right away. The food was great. This breakfast place was on my list for a while, and finally, I got to try this weekend. We were seated as soon as we walked in, even though the restaurant was pretty busy. Our waitress was very friendly, kept checking on us, and asked for feedback. She was on top of her service, so thank you for that.
