They are decent. You have to buy fries separately and their chicken tenders are skinny and small, doesn’t fit the bun at all. There’s usually a chuck of empty space in the bun. I really thought they would be better than Dave’s hot chicken, but honestly Dave’s hot chicken sliders have a much larger tender and they come with fires. For byrds there isn’t even an option for small fries. You have to get a big bucket of fries ?♀️ but overall the food is good just disappointed at their options

If you want something different from the ordinary restaurant and you're in the mood for some chicken, you need to check out Byrds in Skokie on Oakton! They are known for their Byrd bomb. You get a nice bed of fries with chopped up chicken strips,Cole slaw, pickles, bread and drizzled in their signature sauce. You can get it spicy too by adding jalapeños. One of their newest menu items is gyro fries. It's French fries with gyro meat drizzled in their own 24 karat sauce, cheese and jalapeños. Hits the spot everything. The only draw backs to this restaurant is limited street parking, and cost of food. 1 person could cost $20/meal, however their portion sizes for one person are big enough to feed 2! They have fountain pepsi products as well as bottles to go. Great place to go for some great food.
Dietary restrictions: The food is Halal for Muslim eaters.

The chicken sandwich was amazing, the fries were seasoned perfectly and the 24k sauce was so good, we got two cups to go! Would definitely recommend to anyone that’s in the area and the staff is so nice!!

* I had never eaten from here before, I ordered on UberEats due to a promotion, if I had planned to order in store, I would have walked out as soon I opened that door*
Opinion:
- Wouldn’t recommend.
What I noticed:
- Opened the front door and was greeted by a musty/moldy scent in the air
- The ambience did not seem enticing enough to enjoy sitting there to eat, nonetheless I did
- If you wanna eat from a place that looks like they haven’t had a food safety inspection in years, this is your place to come to
- Kitchen looked ABSOLUTELY FILTHY
- An extra sauce is $0.85??? I’ll go to Dave’s Hot Chicken and they’ll hand me as many as I’d like for free
Food:
- Slider Bun was pretty stale
- Chicken was oozing oil like Crazy
- Lacked Seasoning (although I did get a medium spice level)
- Chicken barely had any crunch to it
Conclusion:
- it’s a shame that halal restaurants in the Greater Chicago Area have come down to this. Please take notes from other Nashville style restaurants and pick up a thing or two from how clean they keep their restaurant
