Hands-down, the best spot in Skokie/Chicago for hot dogs, Burgers, beef there’s no competition. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. This is a family owned place that goes above and beyond not just with the quality of their food, but their service is the absolute best if you are visiting the Chicagoland area and you wanna have an experience tasting the best food you need to bring your tail over to Herm’s Palace

This is your quintessential Chicago diner. They take your order fast, don't write anything down (but always get it right), and are super friendly. They offer all the usual Chicago favorites: burgers, Vienna hot dogs, gyros, Italian beef, etc., and they do them well. TVs showing sports all around, autographed jerseys on the walls. Atmosphere takes you back in time in only the best ways. I only wish they kept their bathroom cleaner, but not enough to knock it down from five stars.

Stopped by Herm’s Palace and had their Chicago-style dog—absolutely the best I’ve had. Perfect snap, fresh toppings, and exactly how it should be done. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in. The owner is friendly and clearly cares about the place and the customers. A real neighborhood gem—definitely worth a visit.
