We did not get food here as we left before ordering. We were very excited to try the place u til we walked in and there was someone smoking inside. As my husband and I were waking back to the car someone gave my kids the middle finger. So disappointed.

Been here several times while visiting my parents in Skokie. Staff very personable helpful and works with you and your meal. Precautions are taken. We enjoyed eating outside when the weather was nice. Good value 2 hotdog meal.

A great greek owned American hot dog joint on Lincoln Ave in Skokie. Fries are cooked peel on and really tasty. Best Chicago style pure beef hot dog in the northern suberbs. Open at 11 AM till 8 PM Monday thru Saturday. Closed Sundays. Very busy at lunchtime. Be prepared for a short wait. Marcelo is a fast hard working guy. Give him a tip.
I’ve been going to Johnny’s Grill for years. They have the best food in Chicago. Always great food and service. Pete and the staff are always friendly and treat the customers well. Everything on the menu is the best from there cheese fries,polishes,burgers,hotdogs, to there gyros. The best restaurant in the NorthShore!!!

I was so happy and relieved to see this place reopen after the COVID shutdown. This place is the best. The original owner was fantastic and I am happy to say his nephew provides the same excellent level of customer service. The Gyros are just as good as I used to get at The Chuck Wagon when I was a kid, and they have some great specials as well. And-they enforce social distancing-its a small place so they limit the number of people inside and ask that you wear masks.

This place used to be great! I was even a customer at their downtown Chicago location before they moved to Skokie. It appears that the original owner(s) has retired and a younger family member has taken over. The friendly service has suffered significantly. I always order hot dogs and expect either Vienna Beef or Chicago Red Hots. I'm not sure what they are serving, but it's now a much cheaper product. I wish the best for all small businesses, but I likely won't be back.
