Corned beef fatty and just okay.

Underwhelmed....paid 20 doll hairs for a (sad)wich that was hardly edible...the corned beef was mostly rubbery fat...chewing forever!! I will know to check my sandwich before leaving...this was bad!! I usually spend 80.00 easily...not this time...everything was just different...

Kaufman’s is truly a hidden gem 💎 The corned beef and pastrami are absolutely top-notch, and the bagels might just be some of the best you’ll find in the Chicagoland area 🥯🔥 I also grabbed a small pecan pie, and it was incredibly delicious — the perfect sweet treat to finish things off 🥧😋

The sandwich menu is seriously impressive, with so many tempting options that it’s hard to choose just one 🤤 However, the ordering and payment setup can feel a bit confusing, especially when it gets busy and crowded 😅 Despite that small inconvenience, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. It’s definitely a spot worth going out of your way to visit 🚗✨

Walk in hungry, but make sure you’ve already memorized the entire menu, sourcing of ingredients, and probably the chef’s life story because asking questions or, heaven forbid, requesting a recommendation seems to be deeply offensive here. The vibe is less “welcoming restaurant” and more “you should already know better.”

Service comes with a complimentary side of attitude, which I guess is their signature dish. To be fair, the pecan bar was actually really good easily the highlight of the experience but enjoying it felt like winning a small prize after surviving an unnecessarily tense dining experience.
