What really surprised me was that a top hairstylist in Atlanta specifically recommended this place in the Chicago area. I went in a bit skeptical, but the experience completely exceeded my expectations. This isn’t just a boba tea shop anymore. It honestly feels like a boba tea museum. I’ve tried to think of a better way to praise it, but I genuinely can’t come up with one.

TeaRex is fire. I appreciate the staffs and owners kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. They cook the food fresh and ready to eat and they maintain the restaurant clean. Owner Clay is nice. Amazing bubble tea. Must come back. 10/10

I visited TeaRex Bubble Tea Cafe in Skokie, IL, and loved the playful dinosaur-themed decor and cheerful vibe that made the experience fun and inviting. I tried a fruit tea and a milk tea with tapioca pearls—both were flavorful and refreshing, though the fruit tea was a bit too sweet at times. The service was prompt and friendly, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer suggestions. While some drinks leaned overly sweet depending on the flavor and sweetness level, overall I found the beverages delicious and well worth a return visit
