This is a prime example of a failed and poorly managed business that will run into the ground .

Day 1 - I walked in, asked if they do to-go orders, they said no, that’s fine.

Day 2 - Closed, no clear hours.

Day 3 - Closed again, tried calling, phone line isn’t active and disconnected, so I figured they’re only open on weekends.

Day 4 - Went was told they only take reservations.

Don’t waste your time here. This place is a dump. You never say no to money. If you see this place shut down soon, don’t be surprised.

Recently reopened restaurant in downtown Skokie. I got their Mole Enchiladas and Pechuga Moctezuma, which are both phenomenal. The mole was delicious, full of spice, and it was the perfect pair for chicken enchiladas. The pechuga was creamy and cheesy. The chicken was flavourful and juicy, and incorporating the sauce all together was just a flavor bomb. I really enjoyed both dishes and will be back to try the other dishes as well! Note that it's a cash only, but you can use Zelle. It's also a BYOB so bring your favorite beer and enjoy, cause I sure did.

I’ve been to many breakfast eateries in my day but this place has found a place in my heart! Small cozy cross town eatery that simply shines with its menu and its presentation from a quaint kitchen in back. I highly recommend this stop on your grind to find the best in town.

The food here ranks up with Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill and Topolobampo. The molé chicken was to die-for, the salsa zesty and flavorful, and the guacamolé alone worth the visit. The owner gives a warm greeting at the door. As of this writing, given Covid, they have scaled back, and customers need to place the food order the day before, and it's now BYOB. Yolo is indeed open, and deserves the trek to Skokie. Just plan ahead.

One of the best meals I have had in my life. Oscar is truly gifted and makes amazing food. The chicken enchilada with the mole sauce wasspectacular. Everything is fresh and made to order. Prices are so reasonable that I felt guilty eating all this great food for such a low cost. It’s byob. Chocolate flan was to die for. I will definitely be back. Keep this hidden gem in business!!

Excellent every time. Not a place for a large group, as it is a small place. Dinner for 4 is perfect, as is BYOB.Wrote the first review 6 years ago. Have continued going throughout the years.Just went back in August of 2020. So nice to see that it has survived the closures so far. Food has maintained a high quality. Even though the waiter did not show up for work, the cook took care of us wonderfully. Glad to support local and small businesses!!!
