Zad was fantastic! I went with my family who were visiting from abroad and they thought Zad was the best food they ate in the Chicago area. It was delicious, healthy, clean, and filling. Not only that but the service was unparalleled and the owner was highly generous and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.

Food has been great and it’s consistent. They have recently added new stuff on the menu and it’s delicious. Omar is running this place and he makes you feel like family the second you walk in.
Had their new pistachio chocolate moose and berry cream tart. I highly recommend getting each one for dessert! Lastly their teas and coffee are truly out of this world. Omar takes the time to make each batch. You can taste the quality with each thing.

I’ve love zads since its opening when I was much younger and priorly knew it as one of the pits inns. Their food is top quality and very well seasoned, everything tastes fresh, and I haven’t found anything on the menu yet that I haven’t particularly enjoyed. The atmosphere is a good sit down restaurant with quaint and comforting vibes, they revamped a lot of things, but the customer service is still as warm as ever :3 we are always greeted with smiles and small talk and they even remember us with how often we go there. We’ve even gotten free desserts from time to time for the support from the new owner! I’m really glad we found zads. In my opinion my favorite dessert is really the classic rice pudding a la zad but all their new desserts have been great too! My favorite main dishes have been the dinner plates which have so much delicious food, very filling!! I usually get the chicken taewook plate or a wrap, which tastes so fresh and spiced with great textures. Please try them! Such a lovely place 🫶

Just had a family dinner at Zad’s this evening. The kids LOVE the food. Zad’s has always had great food and we prefer it over Pita Inn. But with Omar joining as a new partner, I am excited by the upgrades he has made as well as the plans he has for upgrading Zad’s atmosphere and brand identity! Definitely going to go back regularly!

Zad serves some of the best Middle Eastern food in the area. Not only that, but the atmosphere is never chaotic and overall very peaceful. Omar is always one of the most welcoming people that keeps me coming back to the restaurant. Every time I visit, he and everyone there make such an effort to show such good hospitality.
