“Great Chicago deep dish pizza which I miss a lot!!“

“Our wedding was on 8/18/2023 and we are still so happy from the perfect day. From the minute we started our tour at Pinstripes with Shannon Schurr, my husband and I knew Pinstripes was going to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. We toured a few other venues, but Pinstripes was perfect. Shannon was so responsive and answered all of our questions along the way. The food tasting was lovely as well and it was a great chance to try all the food and feel confident at our choices. From the tour to the tasting to the reception, everything was seamless and magical. All of our guests absolutely raved about the reception venue and all the wedding guests mentioned it was the most fun wedding reception they have ever been at. The food and drink options were fantastic! We had bowling during our cocktail hour (with socks and bowling shoes included for all guests) and bocci courts open after dinner, which was a huge hit. We reserved the all-seasons outside space, which was well worth the little additional money, and the firepits and decorations (including the flowered backdrop) were a big hit and we didn’t even need to buy any decorations because it was set up so beautifully. The service was excellent throughout the whole night and the linens turned out prettier than we could have pictured! There was also a cool stand for the cake to be displayed while we were cutting it. Many of our guests now frequent for bowling and dinner at Pinstripes and my husband and I do the same.“

“Tldr; help a local business (Sugar and Rhyme in Elgin) thrive so I can always have amazing croissants I have discovered an absolute gem in Elgin. I have been missing out big time. If you haven't been to Sugar and Rhyme yet, and you love croissants, please go. Also I've only tried one latte, but I like it. So report back with your findings on that matter. I went to visit family in Europe back in like 2008. This place makes the best croissant I've had since then. Like, hands down. It's easily of equal quality. I can't get over it. And they make everything in house. Fresh. Daily. INCLUDING!!!!! all the coffee mixins. The only sad thing is that the store is really small, so you're probably not going to be able to find a seat. But you should still go. I want this place to absolutely thrive so I can have a steady supply of their croissants. Don't let me down, people. P.S. “We were a party of 6 Adults sitting at a round table. We are all coffee drinkers. Our waiter was Attentive and very helpful at answering our various questions about the menu. The food arrived in a timely manner and every said that the Food was delicious.“

“great food and great atmosphere. the serve is hit or miss. mostly get great servers, but this one female server we had last night on May 4th, 2024, she was ride and short (as in didn't want to be social.. cold attitude. didn't even say Happy Birthday to my parents when we told the server we are here to celebrate their birthdays. the female server was such a k.u.n.t and had the audacity to say, "OKAY." really?? just an.. okay??! bad attitude. THANK GOD she had to leave early and another waiter took her place! he was so pleasant and we actually had him a year ago! it was nice. so pleasant and gave my oarents a special dessert and candle. if we were stuck with that female waitress, she'd probably purposely do something awful, th way her personality was.“

“I haven't been to Alexander's in years and my last experience wasn't a good one. The food wasn't great and the service was terrible. This time was a complete 180° experience! The place has been renovated and looks very nice and very clean (including the very nice restroom). The food and service were, both, wonderful with nice selections on the menu. We went on a weekend, so they had a piano player who was very good. Even the prices weren't the usual "painful" experience of most restaurants. We will, definitely, return. I went because I was told they had improved, considerably, from what I remembered. They have!“

“We as a family eat here, and the servers are always great... the food is amazing... we have eaten most of the pastas and different sauces... crispy chicken and mashed garlic potatoes are amazing... shrimp Diablo is delish if you can handle spicy hot... calamari and their arribiatta (sp?) “So I went to Alinea last weekend. Apparently it’s one of the best restaurants in the world. Then I went to CPK this weekend. All I can say is, this award was given to the wrong restaurant. CPK all the way! The best Mac and cheese in the world!!! Also, their pumpkin cheesecake and key lime pie are incredible. I still wish they had their roasted vegetable salad, but I guess I’ll survive. BEST restaurant hands down!“

“We had triple cheese Asiago stuffed crust pizza tonight! It was literally one of the best pizzas we’ve had. Sooo fresh and piping hot! We will definitely be back. Alan V was a great server too!“

“As long time patrons of Cucina Bella, we had high expectations for my daughter’s bridal shower, which were far surpassed. We had 56 guests; the restaurant was closed so we used the entire dining room and bar area. The exposed brick-walled room has such character and warmth; we added only a few table centerpieces and candles. The delicious food was served family style and each table had plenty (we took leftovers home)! It was high quality, very fresh, and all dishes were served at the correct temperatures.
Our menu included bruschetta, grilled calamari, house salad, penne marinara, gnocchi with vodka sauce, chicken Francese and tiramisu. This penne marinara is a flavorful departure from a typical mostaccioli dish. My daughter’s favorite is the gnocchi with vodka - the gnocchi were pillow soft and the sauce perfectly robust. The tasty chicken was tender and savory. Can’t tell you how many guests said they literally wanted to “drink all of the sauces”! They raved about the scrumptious food, mimosa bar, bloody Marys, ambience and service - and they are still talking about it!
Kim and Lindsey were amazing and did not miss a beat in providing top notch service for the large group. I have no idea how they did it all and did it so well - all in good cheer! Erin is a terrific event coordinator, very responsive, thorough and professional, offering suggestions and lots of patience! High praise to the kitchen staff as well. All helped to create a most memorable experience for us. Thank you!“

“Had a nice lunch here the Friday before Christmas. The place was crowded but not a long wait at 1pm. I had the seared tuna salad and thought that $27 for just this salad was pricey for the about of tuna that was in the salad. The salads are very good, but that one is a bit overpriced.“

“A good CPK. No wait to get in, 1.5 hours until closing, on a Friday, seated promptly. Ordered drinks, got bread and ordered meal. We had the Alfredo and it was good and flavorful. Had a wedge salad, it was washed and fresh. It was a good meal, the server was attentive and helpful. A well ran restaurant.“
