“I went in this morning and had a great breakfast! I misunderstood an ad about them having B&G all day when it wasn't supposed to be until 10, but someone from the kitchen came up and said she'd make it for me anyway! The gravy was SO good, I ate it up quick!! Got a chai latte too and it was delicious as well. Such great customer service and just a cute place. It's near my work, so I'm going to try and go more to support them!“

“Peases is our first and last stop round trip when traveling through frequently. The location, interior ambiance, menu, coffee, and chocolate! It's not just a stop, it's an experience!“
“A wonderful coffee shop in a historic area of town. It has a great selection of coffees, teas, and baked goods. The owners are really kind and friendly, and really made an effort to make me comfortable during my first visit to the USA. It genuinely feels like part of, and belonging to, the community. I highly recommend stopping by!“

Needing a coffee on a 4 hour drive to Shawnee National Forest, we stopped at Scooter’s to survive our early drive. It’s a drive-thru only coffeehouse so I strongly debated even writing a blog post for it but in my quest to visit all the coffee places, I knew I had to make the concession and experience it from the drive-thru lane and passenger seat of Emily’s car.
They had an Americano so… you can bet that’s exactly what I ordered and it did not disappoint. I love a strong bitter Americano and a lot of places err on the side of making it accessible and enjoyable. This was full on the style I like and if there was one around where I live, I would be getting my Americano drinks there instead of making my usual Dunkin’ run when I treat myself. I did try the concoction Emily tried and we both agreed that it was missing a certain something. Not that it was bad but that it just lacked that thing to make it magical.
But… the best part of Scooter’s is the opening line of this blog. When we placed our order, the person told us to ‘Go ahead and scoot on up’. Maybe it was the 4 hours of sleep I got. Maybe it’s my sometimes simple and childish-like humor. Maybe it’s just a great line. But it had me cracking up for a few minutes.
Scooter’s, you have a new loyal fan if you ever open up a place near me.“

“I stopped by yesterday and had one of the best mocha lattes in my life! We also shared the shortbread cookies, French pastry, and apple cider doughnut. (We couldn't pick just one 😋) Everything was fantastic! I highly recommend Schlee’s!“

“My family and I have eaten here at least twice and both times the food has been amazing! Recently, I really enjoyed the pumpkin chipotle soup and veggie open faced sandwich ( I can’t remember the official name). We also got three deserts and all were amazing! I’ve also bought delicious tea from her and appreciate the expert help picking it out! I highly recommend eating here!“

“I’ve been visiting this location more consistently over the past few months because of how reliable the service is. The environment is calm, which allows me to get my work done, and the manager and team are consistently top-notch when it comes to guest experience. Special shoutout to Ashley for leading the team and ensuring guests are genuinely taken care of. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a great time and a place to chill and get work done.“

“We ordered the onion rings, catfish special, meatza flatbread and artichoke dip. The amount of food that came out was overwhelming and delicious. All of the food was incredibly well seasoned and the entree was a great blend of textures and flavors.
My catfish special had a wonderful potato salad that I highly recommend. The cornbread was drenched in honey and had a bit of a kick. And the catfish? They definitely fry things well here. The batter is crispy, crunchy, delicate and well seasoned. It reminds me more of a perfectly executed tempura at points. There was no fishy or muddy flavors.
Everything here was pretty much perfect. The food is delicious, the music is on point (and not too loud) and the service is friendly.
We'll definitely be coming back.“

“Prices are really affordable, much better than most chains, and the pastries are always amazing. I love the apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, and the blueberry donuts the best. The scones are a nice treat as well!
Coffee is really great, one of the few places in the area that doesn't overwhelm the lattes with tons of sugar.“

“This is the BEST Starbucks I have been too and I order coffee ALOT. The staff is amazing, the drinks are amazing. Like when I say amazing I don't want to order from any other Starbucks! I don't know if they are just really good at making coffee or if it's the time and care they put into it but I have yet to find a Starbucks that makes better drinks than the one in Kroger! The ladies that work there are flat out amazing! SO anyway if your trying to choose which Starbucks to go to, make the drive to the one in Taylorville they are far better than any other location I have ever been to !“

“Very welcoming and delicious coffee spot. My favorites are an egg and cheese breakfast croissant, and the sugar free Lotus which you can pick from a list or make your own. I have yet to find my favorite coffee drink, but they have adorable seasonal menus with new creations all the time. They also will give you a slight discount if you’re a healthcare worker!“
