I have never had a bad meal at Augie's!!! Thrifty Thursday's are great on the pocketbook and you won't leave hungry. Staff are knowledgeable & efficient!! If you are visiting downtown Springfield, this should be in your top 3 places to eat. The other two would be Mangia & Maldaners. great

Stopped in here today after our conference. This was perhaps the best meal I have had in years! I had the lobster bisque soup, goat cheese salad, and their ribeye special (in special sauce and laying on top of mushrooms and gnocchi). All three items were the best three I have had in a long long time. The service was so fast as well. Just amazing!

Had a really good lunch here while we were on a day trip to visit the Lincoln museum. Beef vegetable soup hit the spot since it was a cold day and I had the butternut squash salad which was also very good. Really good service. Would go there again!

Amazing food, service and experience all the way around. Heather was our server. Amazing specials for the evening - that were not on the menu. Atmosphere was wonderful. Food absolutely amazing and perfect. They have a coat check - I was a little surprised by when I walked I, because it looks like any old local bar when you walk in. Do not let that fool you! Top notch service-wine recommendations, food was perfection. No wait on the service, dirty dishes were picked up off the table as soon as we were finished. Hubby ordered New York Strip, I ordered the Salmon. Crab cakes for starter and dessert creme brûlée. Dessert was flambeau right in front of us!

During a weekend visit to Springfield, someone we met on the street recommended Augie's. We four had a SUPERB meal while snow blew furiously outside. One in our party has several diet restrictions--no problem: a wonderful, piping hot dinner appeared, made to order. Our lovely server was gracious and attentive.

Every Thursday, this fine dining restaurant offers a choice of entrees with salad and dessert for $14.99. This week was Italian themed. I chose the seafood lasagna and my husband had chicken piccata. Both were delicious. Preceded by fresh salad greens, lightly dressed and followed by blueberry tiramisu, we were well satisfied. The service was attentive without being overbearing. As many of my husband's trips to Springfield include being there Thursday, we are already wondering what the next Thrifty Thursday menu will include.
We travel from St. Louis and this is our first stop after the hotel! The food is devine and service by Shelby and Kim top notch! Never been disappointed in the years we have been visiting! Scallops and filet amazing!
