I got the lunch special, I’m not crazy about rib tips myself but they were great. What I really enjoyed was the pulled pork, it was sooooooo good. I did the medium level sauce and it had a nice amount of zest, I will likely do hot next time. For sure will be getting some more of that pulled pork!

Still the best local bbq.
We had the pork sandwich, and the 1/2 rib tips. Absolutely delicious! This is a treasure in Springfield!!
Absolutely delicious! The medium sauce 🤤
Fantastic meal at a reasonable price. Some of the best BBQ in town.
I had the catfish and steak fries. It's the best catfish I have ever had in my life. Tender, cornmealy, seasoned right. With some delicious hot sauce.
In Springfield for whatever reason. You must treat urself too Clay's Popeye's Bbq. What a burst of flavor. Meat was so tender, sauce spectacular. The customer service was exceptional. Price just right.

Good food a good place to eat at and I like it
I'm sorry I must take out my food due to COVID, but it's not a real inconvenience because the BBQ is SO good. I've eaten at their earlier location and now here for 30+ years. I've taken slabs of ribs home for parties. The sides are also great, and the people are welcoming and kind. Clay's is a Springfield institution because the Clay family can cook! It's a must visit.
Loved the pulled pork sandwich but... The coleslaw tasted like someone poured sugar in it. The potato salad didn't look like potato salad; it looked like yellow baby food.
Love this place the food is great....
