Best place around for a horseshoe sandwich. Plenty of options for those. Lots of options even if you're not in the mood for a horseshoe. Definitely worth checking out.

Food/service was really good. They are very busy in spurts and heavily overestimate the wait time. I know why they do that, but it's actually a lot shorter. It's a churn business, not fine dinning.

If I didn't have the elderly's with me, I would have just gone and waited in the car and played scrabble or watched a football game on youtube.

There's not a lot of space to loiter in the foyer to wait for the buzzer to go off. They seems to be freaking slammed and then dead.

Server's are mostly kids and a smattering of old timers.

Vegetarian options: They had a mushroom sandwich, which I'm sure is fine The salads (sans the meat) looked fine. I doubt they had veggie soup I didn't ask.

Dietary restrictions: I wouldn't be optimistic in central illinois they'd do it. The waiter would probable tell you "sure."

Parking: The lot was really full at peak. but wasn't hard. Just dropped off people first and went too find.

Kid-friendliness: I didn't see a lot of young kids, but should be fine. Loads of older kids, presumably highschool/college age.

Would be fun too put a 17-20 year old into a child seat. They had a stack. I'm not saying anyone *should* do that, just food for thought.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's springfield..it's flat. So yeah, it's fine.

Went there for the 1st time and tried the ponyshoe they are known for. It was a Saturday at lunch time. It was busy but the wait wasn't as long as the hostess said and the food and service were very good

Had to wait a little bit to be seated, but very quickly seated considering the amount of people at this establishment. We ordered a shrimp poorboy w/ fries, bowl of chili, and salad. They were all very good and quickly served. Great atmosphere and service.

What a fun place to eat! I went for lunchtime on a Friday. Be prepared to wait, but it will be worth it! This was my first time here, and the food was excellent, as was the customer service!

The horseshoe with Nashville hot chicken was delicious! My friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak horseshoe, and they enjoyed their meal.

I will revisit this location!
