My parents and I have been shopping here for years now and we've never had a bad experience. Lately we've noticed a lack of products and staff around the store. The other day I tried to get a slice of pizza from the Cafe but the line was so long and there was only one person behind the counter. I didn't think much of it….maybe they had call-outs or they are really understaffed. UNTIL I overheard management say OVER HALF THE STORE IS EITHER OUT FOR COVID or TESTED POSETIVE!? Whyyyyyy are you still open?! Over HALF THE STORE? ARE YOU SERIOUS? NO PIZZA FOR ME. To my knowledge the store has been open everyday so you know they aren't properly handling the outbreak. This place needs to be reported!!! I will not continue shopping here. DO BETTER.

I'm disappointed with how I've been treated by the hearing aid department at Sam's Club. Four years ago I bought a pair of expensive heating aids there. The audiologist said if I purchased the pair they would provide free batteries as long as I owned them. He also said when it came time to purchase a new pair, they would apply the full purchase price of the old pair toward a trade. Things were great for several years and then the person I purchased them from left. The new hearing aid specialist said her predecessor made those promises to many customers but he shouldn't have. She said she would not honor the trade-in promise and last week she said they would no longer honor the promise of free batteries for as long as I owned my hearing aids. An honest company keeps its commitments. They have not. And there is no disagreement that such promises were made. After they would not honor the trade-in promise, I purchased new hearing aids elsewhere. When I inquired if I donated my old hearing aids to someone in need from my church, whether they would fit them for him, I was told they would but they would charge the needy fellow $650 for the service. Lucid Hearing, which is the vendor in Sam's is not someone I would do business with.

I have been a Sam's Club member in Springfield for 11 years. We have used the the Sam's Club credit card for several years and liked the reward cash back. But this year Synchrony Back has screwed up big time. They have made it difficult because they no longer send you a check. We had a wonderful experience with the bakery here! The staff was so friendly, fast, and helpful. The cake is delicious and decorated beautifully. Our office needed a cake last minute and they did such a great job for us. We can't say enough positive things about them! Thank you!

My husband I are regulars here. The management is wonderful and we have had little to no problems with the staff. My little girl is almost five and the bakery ladies have remembered her birthday every year. Springfield doesn't have much but it has a great Sam's Club. And the cheap gas is just a plus. ♡

If I didn't already have a membership I would get one for the sole purpose of getting gas because the man monitoring the station today is hands down one of the nicest people I have ever encountered and he makes it worth it!

I've been a member for many yrs and have no problem with employees or prices has a very good meat department and it's been a pretty good experience most of the time my problem at times is I'll have been buying a certain item sometimes for years and I go to purchase it again and they don't either have it or for some reason don't sell it anymore I know this happens elsewhere but that doesn't make it less frustrating here and why I gave a 4.

The prices at Sam's Club are good. I like being able to buy in bulk. I bought hearing aides here and have been quite happy. But their tire department is awful. I had a tire that was consistently losing air. I took it to Sam's and was told there was nothing wrong with it. It kept losing air, so I took it to Firestone and they found that the rim was damaged and showed me where it was leaking. This is something Sam's should have found but the service personnel were either not skilled enough or too lazy to get the job done. I have had other experiences with store personnel that weren't particularly motivated.

Worst service of any store in Springfield. It came under new management very recently at it is clearly evident. Workers are rude and crass, and clearly hate their jobs and employers. Don't waste your time or money becoming a member here

I don't understand why more people don't use yelp in the Springfield, IL area. I've been to this Sam's Club a few times now. I always purchase their 3 gallon bottled water for my cooler at home. The price is great and they are always in stock. I find that this Sam's Club has got a great selection of products and wonderful customer service from the employees. I've also ordered furniture on-line which is affordable and looks beautiful. When my parents and I go shopping here we always stop and get a hot dog and drink before heading home. It's a nice tradition and their Nathan hot dogs are always delicious.
