Strongly not suggested for large groups. They have policy that if reservation in under single group . The check must be on a single check and payment type. Per management they cannot divide/ split check. This is the responsibility of the customer and not the restaurant. They were very sorry but policy cannot be changed. But food is very good. Just keep this in mind when planning a visit to La Mesa in St Charles, IL

I loved it! The food was awesome! Those burritos are huge, so you better come hungry! The service is sometimes good, sometimes not. The food is not always the same, like it's not spicy one day and super spicy the next.

Not a good experience. My waitress gave us attitude, they got our main dish wrong ( we said no onions or cream and it looked like they gave us extra onions and cream). I can not believe the unprofessional service I received.

Had lunch here and the food was very flavorful and delicious. They have a ton of choices. We had the traditional guacamole, shrimp fajitas, barbacoa tacos, and steak fajitas. All were delicious. Atmosphere was amazing. Price was fair. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

The tacos were delicious. We were seated outside as did not have reservations. Patio heaters would have been a welcome site as it was a bit chilly.

We've eaten here a few times as a family and recently decided to host a family event here as well. Service was great (shout out to Jill) all around. From booking the venue and getting set up, they were readily available. One thing I would call out is they were awesome with handling food allergies for one member in our party. Even made them something separate to ensure it was free of allergens and no cross contamination. I would really recommend this place for a date night or an event!

$28 for chicken fajitas? I asked how much it would be to add steak, then when I was told the upcharge, I declined. Didn’t stop them from charging me that up charge, and my wife also caught them trying to charge us for the Rojas salsa ..,that we never received.

The food is as good. Margaritas were great. My issue was that the staff was folding napkins and silverware in the front near the reception desk. I’m sure there’s a better hidden spot for that task? Seems messy.

Food and drinks were solid but I'd say they were about the same quality as a standard Mexican restaurant. The location and atmosphere is awesome being in downtown STC but know that that's what you're paying for. We ate outside and the outside seating was very nice and shaded.
