I’d give this place at best 3/10. I got three steak tacos with onion and cilantro. I also got beans & rice. The amount of fat and grizzle that I had to spit out from the tacos was ridiculous, and they had a nasty aftertaste to it. The beans were dry and gross. ITS NOT WORTH THE 17$ I paid for this shit. Take your money somewhere else!

Steak Burrito was top notch. The $2 ribeye upgrade is well worth it and I think a must-do. Generously large burrito, fully and tightly packed without being over-stuffed or too messy. They nailed it. Great job.

If I could give six stars I would. Having dined here about a dozen times since opening, Salsa Verde food is always fresh and delicious, and the staff and service are top notch. You can tell that a lot of thought and care goes into everything they do.

Pollo and arroz bowl was bland with no cheese sauce. Salsa verde bowl was bland, and the carne asada platter was unseasoned and full of fatty meat. 60 dollars for terrible food. The carpentersville location is 100x better.
