“The history of this tavern is one of the best in Lake County Indiana. Positioned in what used to be an old Indiana town where the stagecoach used to stop here to give its passengers a rest, eats and drink. What a wonderful building . a building that even holds in the basement stories of the prohibition . A place that one day progress will destroy. Enjoy it while it’s still here..“

“1st time here today 9/16/24 Monday special.....I ordered the slab of ribs w fries....excellent reminded me of a place yrs ago where my mom worked in Phoenix IL Pete & Mary's Rib House . Tender fell right off the bone. I will be back to try other menu items. You cannot go wrong with the ribs“
