Went to Taylorville for the day on a whim. We had heard Bill's had good burgers. That definitely proved true, and how could they not? We were immediately transported back to the mid-1950s diner when entering, and the griddle looked like it had been in use since then-VERY well-seasoned! I had the regular cheeseburger with everything and fries. I think the burger was 1/2 pound of meat. They do have a smaller burger but also have doubles and triples if you are really hungry....
This was, HANDS DOWN, the BEST burger I have EVER had & I’ve eaten burgers for 50+ years.
I, also, do not typically eat all of the food on my plate. However, I ate the entire burger AND the yummy fried mushrooms!
You would think that a tiny finer w/seating at the counter and customer coming in every five minutes that it would be a little messy/dirty but NO. The restroom was SO CLEAN and the few tables/booths were void of any tiny food particles. I just really enjoyed the...
