Chay is the best! Every time I go out for Mexican with friends, I try to sit in his section. His knowledge of the drinks and menu is great, and he is always friendly and attentive.

Los Rancheros is a cozy spot with friendly staff, serving soft tacos with shredded chicken and rice. The atmosphere is pleasant with Spanish music playing softly, creating a welcoming environment. Customers appreciate the good chips and salsa, as well as the rice and beans, which are described as tasty and well-prepared. The service is attentive and friendly, and the prices are very fair. Many guests enjoy the to-go Margaritas and find themselves wanting to visit every time they are in Taylorville. The hostess is consistently sweet and welcoming, though some waiters may be distracted by their cellphones, which can affect the service at times. While some meals like the fish tacos, which contain mostly big pieces of red cabbage and very little tilapia, are not perfect, overall, the restaurant remains highly recommended. Despite some past complaints about the shrimp chimichanga and food quality, many customers continue to enjoy Los Rancheros and plan to return.
