“I came for a late lunch. Not many people in there , but server helped us right away and took our food order immediately. Food came out quick but not too quick. Fries were incredible. “Best little pub I’ve ever been in. Super clean and quaint, great decor & ambiance, unbelievably amazing staff, fun games, great drinks, incredibly affordable prices. The vibes are super fun! My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a cross-country trip (we stayed in the attached Airbnb which was amazing), and it was one of our most memorable nights of the journey. We really love it here! Customers and bar staff felt like family! Gooo T-town!“

“We attended a thank you dinner at the Effingham Event Center as volunteers with over 100 others. It was catered by Niemerg's Restaurant which is always great. They honored most everyone with small gifts.My wife and I volunteer at Enduring Freedom Ministries in Shumway. As a Master Mason our group volunteers for the blood drive held at the Event Center. I've done it the last two times. Several Masons from our lodge volunteered to install the youth reading stations at Lake Sara. We will finish the project in the spring. There are 25 stations for kids to read books which can be changed. It is in cooperation with the Effingham Public Library. At the end they will walk one quarter mile.My wife made 135 Christmas stockings for FISH to give to nursing home, assisted living, or hospital patients. They filled each with personal hygiene items, activity books, candy,etc. We love doing stuff like this by giving back to the community.“

I was pleasantly surprised to find such an inclusive establishment along my walk to DeKalb.Had planned to sleep on the roof, but couldn't get comfortable, so a truck driver offered me a ride. Well, it was the middle of the night when the beer and popcorn farts hit and they tossed me out of the semi.... Are there mountains in Illinois????? I have NO IDEA where I am at!!!“

“Everything! From the friendly greeting by Katina and her wealth of information to the unbelievable selection of hard to find bourbons. The highlight of our 3 day driving trip was meeting locals Sean & Denise who brought us to Village Wine. When they found out my husband is a bourbon fan & they said we had to join them for a night cap at one of Effingham’s best places to go. Wow, they weren’t kidding. Sean said that taking my husband there was like taking a kid to toysRus. The building with its rooftop deck is so cool. I love that if you’re a beer, wine or spirits drinker you can buy a individual drink, bottle or case. There’s something for everyone. We look forward to our next visit. “Had our wedding at the effingham event center in February and it was the perfect place. We had rented the big room for our reception and it comfortably fit all our guests. The staff was great at the bar, and Mark was very helpful answering any questions we had. Great place for a wedding reception!“

“We just happened to be traveling by to Effingham from Bridgeport IL and decided to stop and eat. They had all you can eat fish buffet and it was very good. My husband loved their fried potatoes. Waitress was very pleasant and great service. Nice Bar and Grill.“

“The food is amazing and they serve large portions! We had the horseshoe burger and the double cheeseburger with fries. The food came out in a timely manner. Our waitress Angie, who is also the manager, was friendly, attentive and went above and beyond our expectations! I highly recommend eating here. We will definitely return when we are in the area!!

“Just passing through and staying one night in Effingham, IL. Walked over to the TK Grille for dinner after a long days drive. We both had a cocktail; me a Moscow Mule (best I've ever had) and my husband a Manhattan (delicious as well). For dinner, we both liked the idea of the Sirloin Steak Salad (cooked to medium and with the balsamic vinegarette on the side). We really, really enjoyed ours! Dessert of Chocolate Chunk Brownie Sundae was amazing and the best brownie we both have ever had ?“

“I live in Vandalia and chili's hand down is one of my favorite places to go. But this location is the best, service always great, food always yummy, and my Littles always pick the high top booth. They request this place for the type of table lol. Great place.“
