What a great little place. On a whim we decided we wanted to have chicken for dinner. It was later on Sunday, so I looked up places close by. The Chicken Schnitzel pictures on Google hooked us. The food was amazing. We had the seared Ahi for an appetizer. We both got the Chicken Schnitzel. It was huge and delicious, and the potatoes and onions under it were outstanding. One word, WOW! We stopped by after a day at the Illinois Railway Museum. The food is well prepared, quick and very tasty. Our server was very friendly and helpful (our first time here). The portions are abundant. Everyone took home leftovers. Besides American favorites, there is some Bavarian influence on the menuas they have bratwurst and a variety of schnitzel dishes on the menu. We came for the retro menu this night. My Swiss veal item was spectacular. . It was the finest veal dish I have ever had anywhere. My wife had the pork tenderloin. She said it was absolutely delicious. The portions were so large that our take home portions will give 2 more meals at home.
