These are not only the best sandwiches in Urbana, maybe the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and likely the possibly the best restaurant of any kind in CU. What a treasure this place is. Support businesses like this as much as possible.
I got the guido which was great, but my wife got the “workman” and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been to a bunch of little Italian delis in St. Louis’ “The Hill” but this sandwich beat them all.
Best sandwich I’ve ever had! Especially the proketta sandwich, highly recommend. However, the waiting time has always been an issue for years. Every time I order online and come to pick up at the time shown on the order receipt, it always takes me at lease another 10-15 minites to wait in the shop. If I have to wait that long all the time, what’s the point of having me ordering online and showing me a pick-up time 15 minutes different from whatever the real pick up time it...
