Normally, the food is great and shopping is fun. But 3 days ago, I ordered the homestyle chicken salad and the salad was mostly yellow lettuce - the chef had cut the heart of the head into the salad. It was so bitter that I could not eat it. I mentioned it to the server, who should have noticed, but didn’t. Why did the chef serve this? Still, I would recommend because the food is usually good.
Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. The waiter dropped food on me, gave us the wrong check, and after 20+ minutes of waiting on the to-go box we asked for, we ended up just leaving. I tried being patient and polite, but after waiting over 20 minutes for a to-go box, my patience had gone. I interacted with two different employees. The first one was very friendly showing me where I could find shoes for my daughter. The cashier started out friendly but when the hoodie I was purchasing did not ring up on sale she got a little snippy when I pointed out the price discrepancy.
