“I have been to the University of Illinois three times and have gone to Shawarma Joint at least that many times. The portions are massive and can serve as two meals if you really want. The taste of the food is amazing, and I prefer the gyro meat. They give you two pita with the bowls so you can make some gyros. The value is just so worth it and that is why I keep coming back. It is filling, not unhealthy, and for a reasonable price. 5 stars!“

“My husband and I were driving from Ohio to Kansas over this past holiday and decided to stop here along the way. We did read the reviews before we stopped so we were prepared for a wait because there truly was ONE man doing everything. Mostly every seat was occupied when we walked in and it smelt amazing. This joint serves the best Middle Eastern cuisine I have ever had in my life. The lamb was so tender and juicy plus all of the spices used were delectable. Additionally, you get so much food for a reasonable price. I honestly have been thinking about this place ever since we stopped and I will for sure be back the next time we road trip!“

“My family eats at Naf Naf all the time. We LOVE the food! It is fresh and delicious, always hits the spot. Enough for two meals for some of us. The next day we fight for the leftovers. The people who work there are always kind and welcoming, and the restaurant is bright and modern, although we usually get takeout. The falafel is really good, so the vegans in the family are especially happy, but honestly, the rest of the carnivores are happy too-- either with the falafel or the steak or chicken choices. The hummus and babaganoush are yummy and the pita bread is made fresh.“
