Service was not great at the food area. I had to ask for silverware by walking up to the bar. The first server didn't take a drink order. The second one did but as soon as she found out that there was a server before her, she walked away and we had to wait a while for the first server to come back. Let's face it, we're going here for kids to be entertained, not the service, so just have the right expectations.

We waited 30 minutes for someone to arrive at our table to take our drink order. He then disappeared for another 30 minutes never to return. I kept looking around for assist and no one would help. We finally left and went to Lazy Dog. Really disappointing, it’s my daughter’s favorite place but this is not acceptable. Even worse is that no one will acknowledge this nor will anything change. I’ll go elsewhere.

Though the service can be a bit bad during crowded times, this place is pretty neat for those looking for prize games, and the food is decent too.

Lost jacket, which was given to the staff for token-based valet. Had to leave out in most coldest day of the year. Instead of of being sorry and compensating properly, D&B of offering cheap value. I felt its so much unsafe to visit this place where your personal belongings in valet are not safe. I won't recommend this unsafe place to anyone.

We were not a priority for the front desk person, who was on a personal phone call. It was our first visit to the facility, and it didn’t start well. You need more staff to guide guests to the correct area of the facility (in our case, a kids' birthday party).

My ratings are based on ONE SERVER/BAR TENDER, Tyson.
We recently visited D&B on a Friday night with our 1.5yr old son. We were not greeted when we walked in and after asking the person at the front desk how the cards worked (haven’t been in a looong time) he acted too busy/annoyed to help and said to check out the kiosk thing instead. Not sure why as it was pretty empty and no one else was walking in behind us. Why couldn’t he have just sold us the play card himself?? Been friendly ??
We proceeded to walk to the bar/food area. We were immediately greeted with a big smile by Tyson. He shared the specials and was super friendly. When it was time to eat, we closed our tab and were told to sit anywhere and a server would come take our order. We waited over 10 min without anyone coming to us despite 2 waitresses passing us a few times. It was slow and we had a small child. No high hair offered or anything. My wife went up to the bar to ask for a server and a woman with bright red hair behind the bar rolled her eyes at her and said someone would be with us. We waited AGAIN. Finally we just asked Tyson to please be our server because NO ONE ELSE WANTED TO. He gladly came over and the night was saved!! Food was excellent, drinks were great but if it wasn’t for Tyson, it would have been a crappy experience. Not sure what the deal was with service. THANK YOU TYSON for caring for ALL CUSTOMERS and ensuring everyone was having a good Friday night. Will be back ONLY FOR TYSON!!

Terrible work of managers and all other staff. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If you want to ruin your mood, to be shouted at and eventually kicked out. Please come to Dave& Buster’s and talk to the manager.

Went with a couple of friends around 10:30 for some drinks and happy hour apps. Took a while to get a drink, food was quick and okay. Overall the experience was horrible after the food and drinks came there was no bartender or server in sight to check on us for more food or drinks. I actually had to walk around and ask if we could get served and was actually told "no there's no one here right now, let me see what I can do" after a little while longer the bartender apologized for "having an emergency" and asked if we needed more drinks which we then got. Around midnight we asked for our check as D&B closes at 1 am and we wanted to play games. When we asked the bartender to close our tab he said "Do you want to right now or can I finish eating my dinner?" Not knowing what to say we just said okay which he responded saying it would "be only 5 minutes I eat quickly" after over 10 minutes we were able to close our tab and get to playing games. At 12:56 we were no longer allowed to play any games or even get prizes when the business closes at 1am and no one informed us of the games and prize store closing. If we did not have to wait around for horrible service your overall experience probably would've been a good one but I can say with confidence that I will not be returning to this location and I wasted over 100 dollars for a bad night out!

We came for the games and to have a good meal. I had the burger which was ok. Nothing to brag about but not terrible. The games were fun but really expensive. 60 bucks a kid lasted about an hour or so. The prizes they ended up winning were ok for about 10 mins.

I will never go to this location, which is 20 minutes from my house. I will take the longer drive and go to the location in Schaumburg. First, when my family (came in from AZ) and I arrived, we weren't greeted. We found out that they raised their prices 2 months ago, which is crazy. When we purchased our cards for approx. $183 (3 cards totaling this amount), we went to play the games and several were not even working or barely working. There was food all over the floors and underneath the tables, trash everywhere, and the staff was not even remotely friendly. The staff is mainly comprised of younger adults in their early 20s, but they looked like the anecdote for exhilaration. I wanted a refund because it was not remotely close to the experience I wanted to have for my son and his family that came into town. This location has fallen short of expectations by a very large margin. I do not suggest going here. Also, the game technician they have working there is the rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer service capacity. He should not be working there whatsoever. I went to go and ask for a refund, but nobody was at the front desk and so I just gave up. Chicken wings, avocado, straw wrapper, unclean booths, unclean tables, and at least a dozen games that weren't working. I have several pics, but it won't allow me to update them or the video I took.

I took my 2 kids there after a sporting event waited for food after being acknowledged and they never came back after. We tried again were acknowledged then 2 tables that sat down after us received service. I then informed the manager, she asked me where we were sitting idk why. But offered us a power card which we declined. Then said that she would look into this and discuss with us. The kids finished up their remaining balance on the cards. As we were leaving the manager looked at us then quickly looked down and changed directions. Totally unprofessional since she acted as she was concerned as we were not interested in what they were offering. I would highly recommend steering clear of D&B in Vernon Hills, but if you like being ignored by all means enjoy.

I'm a Legend status, so I'm supposed to get an extra 15% on my chip purchases. Front desk forgot to add them (despite asking during purchase), and manager refused to make it right, instead offered 45 chips (supposed to get around 130). Wont be coming back here because of this manager. Come on man, I spend thousands at your store and you can't come off $20 bucks in free play? Sad.

Good food and atmosphere. Only compliant I have is that on New Year’s Eve and new years they didn’t honor the $5 late night bites even though they had the advertisement on the table. There was no disclosure or disclaimer stating not available during holidays. The servers were also not aware. Definitely recommend if you don’t offer a certain special during the holidays to communicate that to your staff and remove advertisements off the table.
